Jim DeMint Statement in Support of Todd Akin

Friends, I just released this joint statement with Rick Santorum on our support for Todd Akin in Missouri. Please share! This seat is critical to winning control of the Senate.

"If Republicans are to win back the Senate and stop President Obama's liberal agenda, we must defeat Senator Claire McCaskill in Missouri. Her support of President Obama's job-killing, big-spending policies are sending o...ur country into an economic abyss. And her passionate support of ObamaCare is ensuring healthcare costs go up while quality of care goes down. Simply put, we cannot afford six more years of Senator McCaskill.

"Todd Akin is a principled conservative who is committed to winning and fighting for freedom in the U.S. Senate. Todd will work to stop reckless spending, stop the out of control debt, repeal the government takeover of healthcare, support our military and defend life at every stage.

"We support Todd Akin and hope freedom-loving Americans in Missouri and around the country will join us so we can save our country from fiscal collapse."

I wonder how many of the 71% of MO voters who voted against Obamacare in 2010 will go towards Akin who VOTED AGAINST IT and wants to repeal Obamacare versus McCaskill who VOTED FOR IT and does not want it repealed. Are MO voters so stupid that they will vote for someone who is inimical to their own interests

It's definitely within the realm of possibility.

Scott Brown was originally elected by MA voters to oppose Obamacare. Now that the USSC has weighed in on Obamacare, our final hope of eradicating this hideous albatross is the Congress, so for MA voters to throw away Brown's anti-Obamacare vote is analogous to sinking our last ship.

Yet according to Rasmussen, Fauxcahontas Warren, who supports Obamacare (and is a proven liar, to boot), is even with Brown at 48% (with 3% undecided).

Irrational idiots abound (and not just in Massachusetts).

Irrational or flawed polls? Brown was trailing the last time in most polls prior to election day.

Whatever you think of Akin, as always Jim acts like a leader. We need to beat down the opinion industry bias.
