White House: She receives more protection than our Libyan ambassador, calls the president by his first name, dines and vacations with the First Family and had the power to call off three strikes against Osama bin Laden.
Ambassador Chris Stevens did not have a Marine detail in Benghazi, Libya. But White House senior adviser and Obama confidante Valerie Jarrett reportedly had a full Secret Service detail on vacation in Martha's Vineyard.
"Jarrett seems to have a 24-hour, around-the-clock detail, with five or six agents full time," Democratic pollster Pat Caddell said in an interview recently with Breitbart news. If Stevens had a similar escort, he'd probably be alive today.
Such protection isn't usually available to senior advisers, but Jarrett is no ordinary adviser.
She almost always seems to be near the president and first lady, and her name keeps popping up at key moments, indicating the power and influence she wields.
Her influence is shown by an account in Richard Miniter's book "Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide for Him."

Wow. Hadn’t thought of it all that way with Jarrett, but it rings so true.
The only problem I have with the whole theory is that Rasputin was so much more attractive than Valerie Jarrett. If he gets a 2nd term, she may face a similar fate to that of Rasputin.

She creeps me out too and has ever since the first time I saw her. Can’t say there is a person she reminds me of but maybe some kind of animal. I am thinking of a some kind of a big cat. Sneaky and sly, doing her work in the dark, out of sight.

I will tell you what scares me to death is, that Jarrett is the one who pushed Van Jones into the WH. Van Jones and Vernon Jarrett are from the same West Tn. area. I wonder who else might be? I NEVER thought of this area being a hot bed for the Communist Party.

Another interesting note, Jacob "Jack" Lew is the White House Chief of Staff. He replaced Daley who was booted by Zero because of Valerie. Jack is an Orthodox Jew.
A 2011 press release from the Religion News Service noted that Lew also "has extensive connections in the American Jewish community," and that he might be able to help President Obama "build a more friendly rapport" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
