I often wonder what the heck happened to turn Colorado blue-leaning in the first place? It used to be a pretty safely Republican state. Maybe not Texas or Idaho-level safe, but not exactly prime Democratic territory, either.

Rocky Mountain High. Inspired by the song thousands of hippy types moved there to be close to nature. The same thing that happened to California 20 years ago when tons of Libs poured into the state from NY, and the East Coast.
I will be shocked if CO goes for Romney. Here in Denver it seems like everyone is totally in the tank for BHO. I’ve seen exactly one Romney yard sign (and that was in Boulder!!).

California is now 39.7% non-Hispanic white, a number which is falling fast. Unless the GOP can start winning a decent percentage of Hispanics and other non-whites, it won't be able to win a statewide election.
George W. Bush won a majority of white voters in California, McCain came close and Romney may win a majority again. Doesn't matter. Too few non-Hispanic white voters to matter, and those there are a much smaller part of the electorate than they were even 8 years ago.

Seriously? Who gives a damn about women’s reproductive rights if we don’t have jobs, homes, food, safety, shelter. Really, your only concern is women’s reproductive rights.
