Security Fears Hobble Inquiry of Libya Attack
New York Times ^ | Sept. 27, 2012 | By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK, ERIC SCHMITT and MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT

BENGHAZI, Libya — Sixteen days after the death of four Americans in an attack on a United States diplomatic mission here, fears about the near-total lack of security have kept F.B.I. agents from visiting the scene of the killings and forced them to try to piece together the complicated crime from Tripoli, more than 400 miles away.

Investigators are so worried about the tenuous security, people involved in the investigation say, that they have been unwilling to risk taking some potential Libyan witnesses into the American Embassy in Tripoli. Instead, the investigators have resorted to the awkward solution of questioning some witnesses in cars outside the embassy, which is operating under emergency staffing and was evacuated of even more diplomats on Thursday because of a heightened security alert.

“It’s a cavalcade of obstacles right now,” said a senior American law enforcement official who is receiving regular updates on the Benghazi investigation and who described the crime scene, which has been trampled on, looted and burned, as so badly “degraded” that even once F.B.I. agents do eventually gain access “it’ll be very difficult to see what evidence can be attributed to the bad guys. . ."

Slow walking til after the election—as long as the FBI is “investigating” including even the time taken to get to the scene—Obama can decline answering questions about the obvious lies and cover-up AND the fully impeachable offense of dereliction of duty in the face of the enemy...

...when Obama is reelected he will immediately make certain he has the power to stay in office no matter what he does.

So just watch the video, if you can’t visit the scene. “Complicated”. That’s the latest excuse.

“All of our gov’t looks SO incompetent in this mess!”.....

It has nothing to do with “looks”, they ARE incompenent,
the whole damn bunch needs cleansing, purging and replaceing.

The incompetence is nothing new. As administrations change from one president to another, the “agencies” remain pretty much untouched. Perhaps term limits for the agencies would be a place to start as well, change the personnel every so often. Might be a big improvement.

Eliminate an agency, create a new one that does the same thing, but don’t hire back anyone. Just fresh squirrels out of col...never mind.

when Obama is reelected he will immediately make certain he has the power to stay in office no matter what he does.

Remember this one...

Qaddafi spoke after President Barack Obama's first speech to the General Assembly. Referencing Obama as "my son," Qaddafi said: "We are happy that a young African Kenyan was voted for and made president. Obama is a glimpse in the dark for the next four years, but I'm afraid we may go back to square one. "Can the U.S. guarantee after Obama that they'll be a government? We're happy and content if he can stay forever."

“fears about the near-total lack of security have kept F.B.I. agents from visiting the scene of the killings...”

The FBI is lost. It was completely infiltrated by leftists back in the 1990s and is now a tool for the Marxists in Washington. The last time our state investigators had the displeasure of working with these 30 IQ morons was during an eco-fascist terrorist attack at a university. The FBI clown insisted the attempted bombing was the work of radical right wing militias, despite the fact that the terrorist deposited various missives around the university claiming responsibility.

Don’t trust these FBI clowns, don’t believe them and never talk to them. BTW, the eco-terrorist was eventually caught, he was a hard core left-wing anarchist and he’s serving time in prison today. He was caught by a fantastic FBI agent in Oregon who worked with our local peace officers. He retired in the 1990s. We lost many of our patriotic FBI people during the Clinton era.

Thanks for the ping, gleeaikin. Am actually surprised the report did not include a line or two blaming the video for this obamanation, though must confess did not read entire report. It would not surprise me if there is a line or two regarding the video in the report. As all know, following the assassination, an opportunity was lost. Am betting hilery, obama, and probably panetta decided not to kill the assassins when the opportunity presented itself, and have heard and read numerous reports continuing to blame the video for every problem in the middle east. Never, in my life, have I seen such foolery.

Obama using (Contempt of Congress) Holder and his FBI.

Holder is great at burying information and stringing congress along. Plus it contains the info to Obama's insiders.

I saw a news report last night where the maker of the film was being arrested for fraud and illegal use of the internet based on a conviction several years ago. Now he is charged with two crimes including violating the court order to stay off the internet.

Many people could soon receive that order of stay off the Internet ... and btw, I wish I was kidding. Our government fears the truth, and fears the People.

Declaring it to be a legal matter requiring an FBI investigation is the problem. The CIA/DIA should be charged with the task.

CSI type investigation is unnecessary except to salve the legal minds. Acting is required. Dithering is counterproductive. The FBI is dithering, untrained dithering.

The solution is simple...... Put the lawyers in a basement closet, declare the attack to be Al Qaeda and then proceed to kill Al Qaeda
