The Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it intends to give Egypt’s new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but the move immediately encountered resistance from lawmakers wary of foreign aid in general and of Egypt’s new course under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The aid is part of $1 billion in assistance that the Obama administration has pledged to Egypt to bolster its economy and its transition to democracy following the overthrow last year of Hosni Mubarak, the country’s autocratic president.

When everybody is clear on the concept, we can talk about aid, trade, whatever.
This money is going to the Islamists who just stormed our embassy and destroyed our flag.

It’ll possibly be a transition to any number of things, but not Democracy. Theocracy maybe, Kleptocracy, certainly, especially now that it seems to be a fait accompli that they won’t be cut off from mounting millions of our dollars sent to “help” this fictitious “transition”. If Romney doesn’t touch on this, he’s losing a big opportunity.
What is the current status of the current female US Ambassador to Egypt?
Is she still in Cairo?
Doesn she still have US Marines ‘guarding’ her embassy without live ammo?
There hasn’t been a peep about her since Stevens was murdered.
