To qualify for the certificate, applicants must prove direct or collateral descent from an ancestor who settled in Texas before February 19, 1846, the day of the ceremony on which the Republic of Texas turned the government over to the State of Texas. A collateral ancestor would be a brother, sister, uncle, or aunt of your Texas ancestor who was in Texas by this date. The relationship would have to be explained on the Line of Descent Chart.

I understand the full weight and import of what's motivating so many to put everything they've got into electing Romney. I really do. I want the Kenyan gone as much as any of you do.
Frankly, I can't help but hope that Romney wins this thing, but I'm just one of those people who is convinced that he'll wind up making George HW Bush and Jerry Ford look like Founding Fathers. He's that far out in left field, as far as Republicanism and conservative ideals are concerned. I simply cannot support that, no matter what the consequences may be.
Like I said upthread, I'm not afraid of what will come if Obama is re-elected. I believe his re-election would motivate the right to truly get on their feet and fight back. I fear that the election of Romney will only cause the right to go back to the couch, while he continues to implement the agenda of those who would enslave us. The preceding scenarios are well founded in simple reason and logic, and are utterly predictable.
I'd rather we get this fight over with now, than be lulled into a sense of security and safety by a man who's got more in common with the degraded left, than with patriotic conservatives.
I see it as a choice between taking the red pill, or the blue pill. Take the red pill and face the harsh reality of what's coming anyway. Take the blue pill and go back to sleep in the power station, while they steal whatever's left of our birthright.
It's no more complicated than that.
