FReepers are upset that lies such as yours are being presented as facts and truth.

Would you care to suggest a particular lie, or lies that I put forward? Go ahead, and make my day ... or night.

I’m not inspired by 51% when it should be overwhelming

And even if catholics do vote one way it is not a guarantee as the chart above demonstrates

However it is a nice bump from 2008

My tribe votes social conservative always so my bragging rights bar is lofty I confess

You didn't "put them forward" -- i.e. you are not the original author -- you are merely propagating them. Like the status of Ohio and North Carolina and Wisconsin as solid Obaama states.

Cheers!

Thanks for posting this graphic showing the Catholic vote for President. I am surprised it was wrong in 2000, though.

I definitely remember watching that statement in 1994. Though they were not absolutely alone in saying the GOP would make huge gains, they were one of the very few. Rush really played that up, too.

WOW - I just looked at that graphi “Catholic Vote” again.

If you add ~3% to the Catholic’s “GOP vote for President” and then compare to their vote for the Dem, EVERY single election is accurately represented! (Eg., shift the red line “up” uniformly by a few percent.)

Correct me if I am wrong about my thinking here!

I pointed out to wardaddy in a post above: if you shift the “red line” on that graph up by about 3%, the “Catholic vote” then supports the winner 100% of the time!

Alternatively, add 1.5% to the GOP, and subtract the same from the Dem lines ... either way, if history repeats and the Catholics vote 51% GOP, Romney gains victory easily.
