America is on the verge of fragmentation and civil conflict because its citizens have lost control of their government and lost faith in its political institutions.

Indeed. Not much has changed one hundred years on.

Most Americans agree that the Democrat and Republican establishments are infested by individuals whose allegiance is not to their country, but to themselves and their political party. Their aim is to be unconstrained by the Constitution and the rule of law and unaccountable to the American people. Their conduct is driven by political expediency and winning elections for the sole purpose of obtaining power and profit.
The US has elections, but it no longer has representative government. The US has a free press, but one that is partisan and dishonest.

I am more concerned about an Obama DEFEAT sparking a civil war post-election.
Now that's an understatement.
These people up in our government have forgotten they are elected SERVANTS of the people.
The president and congress act as if they are royalty. Showering themselves with perks and privilege.
I for one am sick of it. Civil war? Revolution? Civil unrest?
Not sure what's going to happen, but I do know one thing for an absolute fact. Americans are a free people, if the government continues to strip us of our liberties and freedoms, folks will remove them.
Our only hope is secession. We need to form a new country from the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

If there is secession, the ‘rats who live in such states that do must be forciby relocated out of this ‘new’ country in order to assure that they never overrun us again.
The short answer is no. The long answer is...probably not. Americans will see what kind of a Dem succeeds Obama as prez candidate. But if the candidate succeeding Obama (it won’t be Biden) proves to be as radical, and defeats the Pubbie in 2016, (Rubio, Jindal, or Walker), we’re going to have a lot more very unhappy people. But no violent revolution.
Civil war from the content, complacent, uninformed populace glued to their idiot boxes for an exciting new season of Americans Idle and Dancing with the Has Been Stars? You’re kidding, right?

Do it like Ghandi did, call on the ministers to call for a week of prayer and fasting, if people stay home for that so much the better!

Assuming another ~10M guns were purchased in 2010, that's over 30 million guns purchased by "bitterly clinging" Americans since Team Soetoro "occupied" the White House (pun intended).
Pretty obvious who the winners of R2/CW2 are going to be.
That's definitely the reality, the issue is how to defeat those who created it, are dependent upon it and all others dedicated to defending it.
For not much longer, that side still doesn't have the winning hand, but the right/wrong "crisis" could change that just long enough to make it permanent, at least for my lifetime.

This election will display the innate character of citzens of the USA. The corruption of our Constitution is being ALLOWED by the majority of voters who vote for largess.

How right you are...unfortunately there are a lot of "fantasy road warriors" who think they're ready for Armageddon, yet can't seem to ditch their liberal indoctrination device (TV) and think leaving their kids in the hands of liberal re-educators is an acceptable loss.
If patriots can't ditch mainstream media and public schools, they might as well raise the white flag now... they're drones already.
