Poll: Americans Say Middle Class Better Off With Obama Than With Romney

By David Hill - October 1, 2012

More than half of Americans think the middle class would benefit more from a second term for President Obama than the election of Republican challenger Mitt Romney, according to a poll released Monday.

The Gallup poll shows that 53 percent of Americans give Mr. Obama an edge in helping middle-class people, compared with just 43 percent for Mr. Romney. Respondents in the poll also said another Obama term would be better for racial and ethnic minorities, lower-income Americans, women, young adults and senior citizens, while a victory for Mr. Romney would be better for men, investors and upper-income Americans.

The poll was split on how small-business owners would be affected by the presidential race, with each candidate getting support from 47 percent of respondents.

The poll was split largely along party lines, as Democrats gave Mr. Obama an overwhelming edge in most categories but said Mr. Romney would be better for upper-income Americans and were split on how the presidential race would affect investors.

Who are these “Americans”? Where do they live — Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan...?

“What is it with single WHITE women?”

There is a reason they are single - a lot of them practice birth control with their personalities. Therefore feral goobermint is their best friend. owebama will give them FREE BC pills JUST IN CASE some guy is drunk or stupid enough (or both) to want to have carnal relations with them.

A recent poll indicated that Romney has a substantial lead among middle class voters. Therefore, this poll likely indicates only that members of the upper and lower classes think that Obama will be better for the members of an economic class they don’t belong to.

Define “middle class”? This poll of adults is meaningless, especially if all those adults just sit on the couch waiting for Bama to pay their bills.

A caller on a local radio talk show recently said, “Obama ain’t so bad, gas has gone up only a few cents since that Bush!” The conservative host sighed, hung up on her and said, “See folks, this is what we’re dealing with this election.”

Willard needs to start beating Barry with a rhetorical baseball bat in a well conceived plan. Exorcise the inner Rev Wright from the narcissist. The McLoser kid gloves plan is another epic fail. Barry can’t hide behind race forever.

Median incomes have declined over the past 4 years but people want more of the same...well lets give it to them then...when they are starving and those SNAP cards don’t purchase anything, just don’t come a ‘nocking around here.

What is it with single WHITE women?

These are the women and the daughters of the women who declared back in the '70s that women need men like fish need bicycles. However, they simultaneously decided that women need taxpayer support like fish need water.

Basic human nature doesn't change - single women want security and want to be taken care of. The impersonal nature of a taxpayer-funded safety net allows feminists to pretend they're fierce, independent, grrrl-power, blah blah...when all they actually are is the prime mover in the metamorphosis of the US into a social-welfare state.

Dear Gallup,

Did Axelgrease promise to drop the DOJ suit against you if you promised to publish BS poll results like this?

Shame on you...actually, I don’t give a hoot what happens to you.

You made a pact with the devil.

I began taking a closer look at Social Security benefits when I retired and my parents were dying. It seems there is a “one time SS death benefit” of $255 which was established in 1954 to cover a minimal burial. It has never been increased, but entering it in the CPI calculator, it should be $2,185 which would pay for a basic cremation.

I also noticed that each year I have had to pay income tax on more and more of my Social Security benefit income. As we have been urged, I have managed to have a little extra income above SS. We have to do a SS Benefits Worksheet to see if we have to pay any taxes on our SS benefit. Before 1983 there was NO tax on SS benefits. But during the Reagan years a tax was established with a reduction of $25,000 for a single person and $32,000 for a couple from their Adjusted Gross Income. That figure has never been raised for inflation either in 29 years. Today’s figures should be around $58,000 and $74,000. Many elderly widows and widowers cannot afford to marry a new love because of the reduction their income would face from this unfair tax. In essence our government is promoting “living in sin”. We need to urge our Congresspeople to change this.

I am a Gallup poll participant.

The vast majority of the time the polls I am asked to
respond to are not political in nature. The last ques-
tion always asks me to rate the poll and I pan it
completely. Sometimes the poll starts by asking what
kind of a job Obama is doing. Of course I give him the
worst possible score. When GW was president they asked
me to rate him on EVERY poll. With Obama, not so much.
I have asked them why they wanted me to rate Bush all
the time but rate Obama just a few times. I don’t re-
call getting a reply that made sense.

Recently I completed a Gallup political poll but I
certainly don’t recall being asked to respond to the
questions cited in the Washington Times article above,
particularly questions regarding which candidate would
best satisfy the various economic classes.

I suspect that they have various lists of panelists
so not all people get the same poll topics unless
Gallup wants a larger sample size. Don’t ask me why I
bother with these clowns. Let me just say that I am
a one man “FReep this poller”.

I suspect that some of my responses are considered
conservative oversampling and end up in the Gallup
round file.

[[It’s inconceivable how any rational middle-class person could think they are better off with this idiot in the WH.]]

IF America reelects him then I will officially havel ost all faith that America is any longer capable of rational thought and incapable of making the right choice- I was dismayed when they fell for his obvious BS when he ran the first time, buit I still had a modicum of faith that they would ‘see the light’ as it were when he bagan taxing hte hell out of them- but nope- they, like blind lemmings, still seem to be following him hook line and sinker- gonna get them some of that ‘free obama money’ (or so they think- sure, they’ll get a couple of hundred in ‘stimulus checks’ however, it will cost them literally thousands more just to recieve that few hundred- but that won’t matter to peopel who are apaprently incapable of recognizing that they have been hoodwinked by a smooth talking BS-ER!

[[Those who have ears to hear will hear..]]

But sadly it seems less and less i nthis coutnry have ears to hear or even eyes to see- they simply don’t care- as long as they feel as though they are gittin somethign free from their president, the maisntream media and the left are ‘masters’ at lying and makin peole think they are gettign a huge gift while concealign hte FACT that that small gift will be taken back from them at a later date through exhorbitant taxes and energy price increases

It stuns me how many educated, hardworking middle-class people I meet don’t give a single thought to the taxes coming out of their paycheck. They act like it’s a fact of life you just have to accept, like bad weather. And they aren’t mad or upset about where their money’s going. The taxpayer needs to be politically awakened in this country. It’s a sleeping giant of a political force.

I can assure you that this middle class voter is paying strict attention to the amount of money that has gone flying out of my coffers because of this commie/pinko/fascist dictator.

Obama’s automotive bailout was popluar with the middle class. Romney was against it before he was for it, and that is hurting him.
