SO OBAMA IS A LYING, RACE-BAITING DEMAGOGUE: DOES ANYONE EVEN CARE?
Powerline ^ | 10/03/2012 | John Hindraker

Posted on 10/03/2012 11:20:22 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

The video that debuted on the Daily Caller and the Sean Hannity show last night establishes that Barack Obama is a lying (see Paul’s post from last night), race-baiting (see the video) demagogue. Will it matter?

Reporters tweeted up a storm last night, assuring us that there is nothing new in the video and suggesting that it was disreputable to play it. One Josh Barro of Bloomberg News tweeted:

@JBarro: I don’t get how you can work somewhere like Breitbart or Drudge and not feel like you’re doing something pathetic with your life.

Hey, Ma’am, I’m just another objective journalist, reporting the facts!

Seriously, though: will the video have any political impact? Another way of asking that question is, will anyone be surprised by it? I think the answer is no. Whatever image Obama once had as a uniter, a purple-stater, a “one America” candidate, an African-American politician who was somehow different from Al Sharpton and Maxine Waters, is long gone. Over the last four years we have seen a petty, vindictive, frequently dishonest, and often shameless politician in the White House. The video shows that Obama will lie, race-bait and adopt a fake accent for votes. Really? All of that, on top of being a lousy president?

So, no: in political terms, I think the video is a non-event. But what, you might ask, about Obama’s alleged likability? Surely people who watch the video will no longer consider him likable. Well, that’s true. But my guess is that the number of voters who thought Obama was likable before last night is not much greater than the number who think he knows jack about the economy. There are two kinds of Obama voters: those who are locked in by an ossified left-wing ideology and are long past the point of being able to admit that history has proved them wrong, and those who have skin in the game–i.e., money. When you spend $3.8 trillion a year, you can buy a lot of votes. And you don’t have to be likable. Or honest.

So don’t expect the video to have any discernible impact on voters.

PAUL ADDS: I see this somewhat differently. In my view, the voters Obama needs to make it to the finish line are neither left-wing idelogues nor folks who rely on federal handouts. If these voters were to view key portions of the video, many would be less inclined to vote for Obama. But it’s likely that few of the voters in quesion will view the video.

He’s using a stolen birth certificate, stolen social security number and proven forged selective service card. Telling the truth could get him in trouble.

This is a major yawn. Zero’s constituents are all lying, race baiting, America hating hypocrites. They would seriously vote for even Joseph Stalin if Stalin had the ‘D’ behind his name.

Does anyone care that President Obama is a lying, race-baiting demagogue? Apparently not, but that's the advantage of having a base of illiterates, socialists, and brainwashed kids.

I do but this is the only president that his record apparently doesn’t matter. That is how he got elected. Obama is a joke and 53% of us have to pay for him. He needs to be fired. I am fed up with him.

Well Obama is a everything we all thought he was which is a race-baiting anti-American. Whether he is socialist, fascist, anti-Colonialist, black liberationist, Muslim and a radical Muslim sympathizer, or a far left progressive statist; he is dangerous.

Unfortunately slightly less than half of the USA cares.

We have gone beyond the tipping point where killing babies, living off the productivity of others, race, deviant sex, drugs are now all more important than the future of the USA.

There are so many enemies within that those of use who still believe in the brilliance of the founders are fast becoming a minority and a minority which has less than zero protection.

Could it be because our side isn’t even trying to play it?

Isnt this the same crew bitching about Romney “pulling punches”?

“Well people already know Obama is a race-baiting....”

Who the hell cares what Obama’s base already knows!? Play the damn tape anyway!

Liberal Democrats benefit uniquely from having long since abandoned all traditional standards of virtue. Instead, virtue becomes a weapon to be wielded only against their opponents.

Because their highest common value is not public morality but political power, Progressives are most often insulated from the consequences of their own behavior, while Republicans and conservatives are held to a standard of perfection, their own virtue thus perversely employed against them.

Yep yep, where was obuma after BP’s oil? Carville begged him to come down here (LA) and do something for months. He finally showed up for photo-ops. The bullet is still in the baby the gulf still has oil covering the bottom it washes up everytime there’s a storm. Obuma doesn’t care about Louisiana.

They would seriously vote for even Joseph Stalin if Stalin had the ‘D’ behind his name.

They would vote for Stalin without the "D" after his name. They would vote for Castro, Chavez, Morales, even Pol Pot, or Mao. Why.....because they "eliminated" those who were existential threats to their perverted ideology. Then expropriated the property of the Kulaks to be distributed amongst the elites and leave the proletariat starving...and little more than feudal serfs.

Excellent statement! Unfortunately their abandonment of virtue is a very powerful weapon and through their dominance in Academe they've brainwashed a couple of generations of Jugend.

There's still a chance to save the Republic. But it will require that we all put aside our internal conflicts and get a really big vote out in November. Voting apathy by Republicans in this election is a sure path to serfdom.

I don't think that will be a problem this year. If people like me (who really, really didn't like Romney) can finally come around and realize that (a) the alternative is too horrible to contemplate, and for real this time, and (b) Mitt is not a hard-core liberal (even if he is still too squishy on too many things), I think we'll have a decent turnout. Plus, he was smart enough to pick Ryan as a running mate, which says a lot about his character.

The other thing we must do is take back our educational establishments from the Union of Professional Indocrinators - it is absolutely imperative for our future security and survival as a nation that we do so.

Believe me when I tell you that voting for Romney will be one of the most difficult things I've ever done. But you are correct: the alternative is just too horrible to contemplate.

I worry about Republican voter turn-out because there are very active efforts to 1) suppress our vote, and 2) engage in voter fraud. I've even noticed a fair amount of apathy right here on FR. Romney must not only win but win so decisively the "hanging chad" crowd of liberal lawyers can't mau-mau the outcome.

As for fixing education, the only immediate option I can see is to shut off the money. I'm voting against all state and local education tax issues (they'll still win anyhow -- it's California.) Meanwhile we must somehow get a message out to university alums that their donations are going for Marxist indoctrination, not education.

We have gone beyond the tipping point where killing babies, living off the productivity of others, race, deviant sex, drugs are now all more important than the future of the USA.

Unfortunately all true. Here's an excerpt from an August 14th article over at frontpagemag.com, titled "The Most Divisive Campaign in American History", which fits hand-in-glove with your comments:

***********************************************

"After 2010, the numbers were crunched, and it was clear that Obama and the Democrats could not win a mainstream campaign. Instead, they targeted narrow groups, stirred up conflicts over issues aimed at that group, whether it was union pensions, racism or birth control. There was no more pretense of a national election, only a frenzied rush to polarize as many groups as possible and join them together into an acrimonious coalition, not so much for anything, as against Republicans.

There isn’t any inspiration here. Just paranoia over everything from gay marriage to abortion to racial profiling to illegal immigration. A dozen illegal benefits being handed out with the explicit threat that they will be lost if Romney wins. A dozen mini-civil wars being stirred up to divide Americans and set them at each other’s throats for the benefit of the Obama campaign.

From Occupy Wall Street to Wisconsin, from Trayvon Martin to Chick-fil-A, the goal of these manufactured conflicts has been to divide and conquer the electorate by emphasizing group rights over individual economic welfare.

Obama can’t win on the economy. He can’t win on foreign policy. He can’t win on any aspect of his administration. All he can do is stir up violence and then promise to heal the country in his second term while winking to all the representatives of the grievance groups. It’s not a new game, but the Democratic Party has never played it quite this baldly in a national election. And if it succeeds, then national politics will have finally been reduced to the level of a Chicago election.

We were expected to believe that the typical Obama voter in 2008 was hoping for a better country, but in 2012 there is no more hope, only hate and fear. The typical Obama voter is not acting as an American, but as a representative of an entitled group looking to secure and expand those entitlements at the expense and the detriment of the country at large.

To vote for Obama after years of grotesque economic mismanagement that has no precedent in history, that exceeds the worst actions of Andrew Jackson or Ulysses S. Grant, is not the instinct of an American, but a selfish greedy looter scrambling to grab a few dinner rolls off the tray while the ship is going down. There is no policy justification for voting for a man with the worst economic and foreign policy record in the country’s history. There is no American justification for voting for him. Only the UnAmerican motivation of carving up a dying country into group fiefdoms privileging identity politics over the common good."

***********************************************

And the worst part is, this strategy just might work.

Hannity is right - journalism is dead. JBarro proves it with his twit (yes, I know it’s tweet, to me it’s a stupid platform that will go the way of MySpace in another five years).

If I were ever president, I wouldn’t even give press credentials to NBC.

Oh, but to these idiots, talking about what Romney did in college or putting a dog on the roof of his car is fair game.

The people that still watch/read these scum are truly the dumbest people in the country.
