Dem Debate Meltdown: Obama Surrogate Refers To 'President Romney'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

How utter was Mitt Romney's rout of Barack Obama tonight? In the post-debate spin room, a hopelessly muddled Martin O'Malley, Dem guv from Maryland and supposedly an Obama surrogate, wound up referring to "President Romney"!

For good measure, pressed by MSNBC's Larry O'Donnell—clearly dismayed by Obama's dismal performance—to suggest what he'd recommend the prez do differently next time, a demoralized O'Malley could only mutter "uh, I don't know."

Best disgruntled expression of 0bama came when Romney turned around and pointed out they were standing in front of words from the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. LOL when Romney said we are endowed by our CREATOR (pause) with certain inalienable rights, then made comments on rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I think Romney was tweaking 0 for always leaving out the word Creator.

Ha, nobody on Team Zero thought to prepare him on our nation’s founding documents. If only he had been a real professor of constitutional law, he might have been able to pluck something to work with out of the memory hole.

Carville is an old-fashioned Democrat. I suspect he is a tad disgusted with the new communist version of his party. My favorite Carville line was when he described Pennsylvania as, “Philadelphia at one end, Pittsburgh at the other end, and Alabama in between.”

One of my fav tweets:
”Obama didn’t speak for four more minutes than Mitt he THOUGHTFULLY PAUSED for four more minutes than Mitt”

I have to admit, Romney looked thoroughly in control of the debate tonight. He appeared cool and unflappable; he had command of the facts and was able to effectively communicate at a layman’s level; and he cut a good, energetic appearance. He looked strong and gutsy. I was surprised and impressed.

Obama, on the other hand, looked tired and lifeless, like the whole thing was “a drag”. He kept looking down, and seemed to be constantly on the defense. Oddly, much of the time Obama positioned himself half-turned away from Romney, and even appeared to lean away at times. Rarely did Obama fully face Romney. It was more like he was looking over his shoulder at Romney. (Maybe this was just a general impression I got from the way the debate was going.) Anyway, there was some weird body language going on there.

Conclusion: It looked to me like Romney blew Obama away in tonight’s debate.

They’ll get a liberal President all the same. Our left-wing media knows this. Why don’t the Democrats?

The only thing the Democrat newsrooms care about is flexing their muscles and showing they are still relevant, still powerful enough to fix an election the way they want it to go. They couldn't care less about Ubama or Romney. Those guys are only pieces on the chessboard. The election is all about THEM, the dinosaur Democrat newsrooms and their desperate efforts to prove (mostly to themselves) that they still control the nation's political and cultural course.

Obama had no position to defend. You can’t defend the indefensible. What was he supposed to say, yeah, I want to redistribute the wealth, the healthcare and the opportunity that defines America from the successful to the losers? It just wouldn’t work.

Obama’s body language at the debate was similar to those pictures of Obama meeting with Netanyahu.

I think that Obama didn’t bring up the 47% or other attacks on Romney that he has been making for two reasons, one, he didn’t want to give Romney the opportunity to counter the attacks and thus take them out of circulation and two, he couldn’t back up most of them and knew that he would be hit with, you didn’t build that.

I always avoid unwarranted optimism like the plague.

Its human nature to want to want to put the fear of God in your enemies. Maybe the Left had a taste of it tonight.

The difference between me and Mitt Happens is I see no common ground with them.

Hahaha.

I bet Obummer does better in the next debate though, I believe it is a "Townhall" style debate and I guarantee you the audience will be packed with Obama psychophants if the Obama campaign gets its way.

Hey, the primary reasons for Romney are
A) He’ll let us keep more of our stuff
B) He’ll let us be better armed
C) As many as 3 SCOTUS bench warmers

Anything else rational or constitutional is frosting on the cake...

Romney shone--because he lives this stuff.

DBA OBAMA stunk--because he's a demagogue and a self-centered ass.

Lehrer tried to help but kept sinking into the La Brea Tar Pits.
