Newsbusters ^ | Oct. 5, 2012 | Ken Shepherd

With the folks at MSNBC, it always seems to come back to race. Network host Ed Schultz failed to disappoint this morning when he appeared on Thomas Roberts's 11 a.m. Eastern MSNBC Live and suggested that racism was partly to blame for President Obama's weak performance in the debate (video follows page break):

Don't forget Rev John Jasper

"De Sun Do Move" Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church

"....later delivered it by invitation more than 250 times, including once before the Virginia General Assembly. ..."

What a shame many black historical figures have been forgotten. Maggie Walker is another person who comes to mind. http://www.nps.gov/mawa/index.htm Maggie Lena Walker

Two examples of those who looked forward, not backward.

Well said and well worth repeating:

We wish obama was a strong red-blooded, America-loving, freedom promoting, angry black man. But he's NOT. He's a lilly livered, mealy mouthed, lying, communist, appeasement, post turtle. And we are sorry he was a total failure and disappointment to black Americans who really deserve a true uplifting black role model they can be proud of and not just another faker exploiting them for money, fame and power like all the Sharpton's and Jesse Jackson's that have come before.

Ed Schultz:It was just very frustrating to watch a guy lie to the American people and not be counter-punched because we're afraid he's going to be called an angry black man.

Schultz, as usual, has it completely upside down. If anyone might have been afraid to hit his opponent too hard in this debate, it would be Romney, who would be vulnerable to Schultz and friends' inevitable charges of "racism."

That dynamic seemed to have inhibited John McCain in his debates vs. Obama in 2008.

Ed Schultz is angry that Romney treated Obama like a politician and not like a Messiah. Wake up Ed, Obama is NOT the Black Jesus.

Obama’s wheelhouse is rabble rousing. It’s the community ‘organizer’ thing.

He’s not good on his feet in a debate or otherwise.

If Obama was white, he’d be a state senator in Illinois, trying to find new ways to kill babies. Shillary would be president.

So, which is it? The high altitude or race or it’s all such a drag?

Thanks justiceseeker93. And the altitude, let’s not forget that. And maybe it was too cold, since it’s so high up, and Schultz et al may remind us that cold weather is racist...

Yes, that was/is the theme of all their shows to explain rge debate. And I really enjoy it. Why? Because that is the sound of losers.
Crying the that mod didn't do his job interrupting Romney is the sound of losing. There are some (others) here who need to pay attention so they can tell when they are doing it, so they don't mistake losing with winning anymore. Whining is NOT winning.

The MSNBC whiners got a care package today, that unemployment rate number. So they get to move away from the debate.

Wise counsel, sensei.

Now the leftists will try to change the subject to the new "low" unemployment number. Otherwise they would still be stuck.

Yep, 'That is proof that Obama’s policies are working, moving in the right direction, stay the course, four more years....'

Obama has to be careful about bragging about ANY numbers, because it lobs a big slow softball at Romney in the debates. Romney can convincingly respond that O is ‘out of touch’.

The news and such are a different story.

But when making that point, Romney has to be careful not to get too deep in the economic weeds, lest the public's eyes roll back in their heads. If that happens, Obama could get away with "This proves we are moving in the right direction." Can O play the "hope" card in yet another election?

So far, Romney has not committed the error of talking over the audience's head, despite Obama's taunts ("Why are you keeping your plan secret?". Your suggestion of "out of touch" sounds good for Romney.

In this case Romney can reply with “ The POTUS is celebrating an economy where ...put big number here..... LESS Americans have a job than when he took office. This is a sign of a POTUS out of touch with ordinary Americans.
Then he can tell a few sob stories like Clinton did in his 1992 debates and tell voters that he will be ‘a man of the people, not the special interests’.

Then I get to watch Dems heads explode again on MSNBC.

I can get a kick out of playing either side.
