recall election anyone?
I’d take the expulsion and raise it to home schooling.
It’s wrong and smacks of big brother, so leave it in your locker at night. Other than that, you’re at school anyway - it’s already like being in prison.
Sounds just like the feds, to use a government school to test out a program they ultimately want to force on every citizen. First it was cars, then cell phones, now students. Next? National ID cards (w/chip) for everyone, and no transactions of any kind or entry into any building without your card. ...Under penalty of law.
In Fringe’s alternate universe they call these cards “show me cards”, and they must be presented to anyone in authority who asks to see them.
What is with hippies growing up to be fascists, who’d of “thunk” the generation of “free love” would want to videotape and track one’s every move, sad.
Expulsion with prejudice would be my choice. Meaning my prejudice for the administration and a campaign to get rid of them.
I believe this is near San Antonio. This has come up before.
Who will be monitoring these chips?
K.
FO
My children will not be “chipped”...
Regards,
How in gods name is this happening in TEXAS?
I mean some NE state sure..
It’s TEXAS for Pete’s sake!
Where is the pitch forks?
Where is the torches?
Easy fix.
1. Place badge in microwave. 30 seconds on “high”
or
2. Place badge inside silvered electronics bag. Badge is visible, but faraday cage effect prevents RFID signal from getting out. . .
This has me extremely pizzed.
” WOAI television reported district spokesman Pasqual Gonzalez said the two schools have a high rate of truancy, and the district could gain $2 million in state funding by improving attendance.
According to the San Antonio newspaper, the program is expected to cost the district $526,065 to implement with annual cost of $136,005 per year to continue running the program.”
BUT.....
Students refusing the chips were reportedly threatened with suspension, fines, or being involuntary transferred.
***********************************************
How does that make sense, exactly?! How?! The program will improve attendance and bring money to the school but they’re going to suspend or transfer students who won’t participate?! FINE them? FINE a student? Or do they mean the parent.
Well, if they’re tracking students 24/7 because a student will place it in a wallet or whatever. Then this must mean the school accepts responsibility for truant students and they can no longer fine parents or threaten to jail parents over truant students. The school absolutely has more ability to keep up with the child. So they own that responsibility.
Also, can parents now sue the pants off the school if the kid is somehow lost, abducted, hurt while skipping because the school didn’t monitor the students properly. The school is by default accepting FULL responsibility for these children. FULL and more.
Schools want to put cameras on garbage cans to see what food students are throwing away. Yeah right, have recycle cans—food this can, paper whatever other then have the janitor or whatever person weigh that garbage. No, the schools want to go after individual students, that is why cameras.
Some schools are going for the thumb or hand scan to buy lunch. They are training these kids to accept full monitoring of their lives, like pets, wards of the state. SLAVES, PROPERTY. Stupid reality TV doesn’t help this any.
Grrrr!
Look at the amount of money being spent on this cra9tastic program.
So is the state completely power hungry or is there also some businesses getting fat and greasing the palms of these POS school ‘officials’?! Stealing and wasting tax payer dollars and children’s education dollars. One, the other or both?
Part of the problem is the way schools get the money for students attendance and other programs. The money needs to be dealt with differently somehow.
We were a military family, moved a bunch. I ran into a problem with one state.
I went to the school in person, filled out paperwork and withdrew my son because we were moving. Made sure everything was clear—no library fines, no text books missing yada. Good to go.
We get moved, I go register son with his new school—a little hassle over something with his previous school (I don’t recall what now—shot records?)Everything worked out and he started attending his new school.
THEN, about 4 months later I get a letter from his old school threatening me with fines, jail—you name it, for his not attending class for all that time.
I figure fine, little flub on their part I’ll sort it out. Days and days of trying to contact them and get it cleared up, finally I talked to someone and I gave them the information of his new school and they assured me they would clear it up.
Couple of months pass and yet ANOTHER letter comes threatening me with fines, jail and all that. I had his new school fax the old school and they tried to clear it up. Taken care of, right? Nope.
This was when my son was in 9th grade and these letters continued all the way until he graduated. I finally had my *ah-ha!* moment and we just filed them and laughed.
They didn’t want to release my son from their records because as a military dependent attending the school in town—they collected money for that. They did not want to lose that money.
Impact Aid.
The way the Gov sees it is, the Technology is there so it must be used.
And laws must be made because they can be made without limits, and
if 10,000 new laws are created and only 100 are repealed, Government wins.
American Citizens must stop allowing this insanity and madness..
Fine. You win. expel me. Good riddance.
Are they gonna expel the entire school?
School ID chipping is one step closer to micro-chipping the rest of us. STOP, resist, fight it, take your kids out of the school, join forces with other parents, students do the same and stop these damn socialists in our school system.
You give the socialists an inch, they will take a mile, and your FREEDOM.
There’s always a way around it.
Take the * thing home and zap it in the microwave. Then wear it as they tell you. They won’t be tracking anything once it’s been zapped in the microwave.
