Who Advised Biden?!? Al Gore?!? The Thursday Night Hari-Kiri
Free Republic Original Content | October 12, 2012 | By Laz A. Mataz

I watched with sheer amazement, as almost every single mistake Al Gore made with George W. Bush at a Presidential debate, Joe Biden repeated.

Oh, certainly, he did not have too much makeup on, nor did he attempt to stride up to Ryan menacingly (which would have earned him the same bemused look Bush gave Gore), but everything else? Check. Check. And check.

Biden was heard sighing and chuckling in the background. His voice dripped with contempt, even when describing his own plans and ideas. He overtalked so much that at one point, it seemed like Ryan should make like he was about to say something, then stop, just to bait Biden into preemptively interrupting:

Ryan: (makes motion like he is about to speak)
Biden: (interrupting) "That's just bullcrap."
Ryan: (makes another motion like he is about to speak)
Biden: (interrupting) "What a liar."
Ryan: "I didn't say anything yet."
Biden: "Well, if you had, it would have been bullcrap and lies."
I call this form of interruption-baiting 'balk-talk'. Biden's interruptions and overtalking were so rude, the moderator had to publicly chide Biden NOT to interrupt during the very sensitive discussion of the role of religion in their diametrically opposed positions regarding abortion. If I may digress momentarily about the abortion question, Joe Biden had to tacitly admit the Catholic position was pro-life, but in a squirming stretch, made the case that Jewish, Islamic, and other religions are not. His answer was befuddling to most, and most notably, seemed befuddling to Joe Biden.

Biden was rude and condescending throughout the debate, and demonstrated flashes of anger consistently through the debate. We all know men who act like Joe Biden acted, but usually, they are holding a beer, in a trailer park, wearing a wife-beater t-shirt, and menacing their spouses with a threatened backhand.

I made an immediate prediction that Biden's performance was sure to hurt the Obama/AngryJoe ticket with Independents and especially with WOMEN, who all have dated an arrogant, angry jerk JUST LIKE JOE BIDEN, at least once in their lives.

CNN promptly confirmed this prediction on the air, on Wednesday night, with the little data they had at their disposal. I suspect we will see a lot more of polling data that will show that Biden's maniacal, rude, attack-poodle Al Gore imitation will inure to his ticket's detriment among the all-important woman vote.

This is a short little dash-off piece written in the dead of night. I think it captures the debate performance by Biden rather well, though.

I affirm your skills of discernment and analysis, though not always your taste and choices in women.

It was amazing to watch, to see a man repeat AlGore's many mistakes.

This was a strategic decision, too, made probably by Obama and Biden together.... further showing us the pure inept nature of this administration. That we have not been nuked or otherwise attacked during the Obama years is a surprising blessing. Had I been an enemy of the USA, I would have picked NOW to wage my war.

Quick dash-off material. I should have run it through a few checkers (speller, grammar) but I am just too damned tired right now. LOL

It reminded me of that debate as well - remember that polls showed Gore supposedly decisively won that debate, but his polls tumbled in the days that followed in the head to head matchup because people did not like his unprofessional conduct. In this case we have the rudeness and most per the CNN poll thought Ryan won the debate, had greater clarity, and came across as more likeable.

Biden was making me think of some cranky old man that was to shoo every youngling in sight away because the young couldn’t possible be smart enough to compete with the oldsters.

I think it is time for ol’joe to retire.

I seriously wonder if Algore had a hand in this. This mirrored that debate.

Someone, maybe Rove, compared the debate to the Nixon / Kennedy debate, the people who listened on the radio thought that Nixon won.

Much as I am unaccustomed to serious commentary at this time of night, I am moved to offer this observation.

Democrats are skilled at one thing, seeing reality through the prism of their own delusions.

In analyzing how and why The Usurper was owned in the first debate, they obviously mistook mastery for disdain and competence for arrogance. Thus Slo-Joe was coached (probably by himself) to “take charge” by assuming a condescending attitude, and to affect knowledge by interruption.

In the humorless world of the Liberal Mind, the only things that are funny are ridicule and oafishness. This makes Slo-Joe a success by their standards and he decided to do that at which he is best.

The Usurper promptly gave him a big thumbs up on his performance, but remember, he thought he actually won the first debate.

Sorry. I'll never do it again.

The rest of your commentary is spot-on. They simply do not live on our planet. Period.
