White House: Obama and Biden were never aware of requests for more Benghazi security

Vice President Joseph Biden speaks only for himself and President Barack Obama, and neither man was aware that U.S. officials in Libya had asked the State Department for more security before the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, a top White House official told The Cable.

Biden has come under fire for saying at Thursday night's debate, "We weren't told they wanted more security. We did not know they wanted more security there."

The Cable asked Deputy National Security Advisor for Communications Ben Rhodes whether Biden was speaking for the entire Obama administration, including the State Department, which acknowledged receiving multiple requests for more Libya security in the months before the attacks. Rhodes said that Biden speaks only for himself and the president and neither of them knew about the requests at the time.

1. Maybe they should attend their national security briefings a little more often.

2. Maybe they should be more involved in the actual responsibilities to which they were elected.

Feel free to add to the list. This is an outrage and the people should hold their leaders accountable. Either these guys are lying or they are detached, uninvolved, ineffective and neglectful of their most important responsibilities.

3. Maybe he should take responsibility. After all, he is in charge.

Ahhh. The Obama Administration. Never take responsibility. It’s always someone else’s fault..

EVEN if it’s one of those pesky administrative branch that you are basically the CEO of that “knew.” Total rubbish.

The Administration put a drone over the site to watch the murders, but they didn’t put an F-16 over the site to prevent the murders.

Let's for the moment, give them the benefit of the doubt..and say that they weren't notified.

They need to release the names of the people they have fired for gross incompetence.

Except that Barry is a traitor.

Radditz was given the first question by the WH and they wanted the words “intelligence failure” to be heard loud and clear. That’s the cover story they chose to protect obama and Biden and Hillary.

And the press is being ordered to run with it just like Raddatz was ordered to inject it into the debate. Had anyone heard this excuse before the first question in last night’s debate?

Maybe they should CARE that four of our citizens perished at the hands of terrorists, all because DerFuehrer didn’t want to offend the Muslims.

Obvious lie. If Bush had been president, he would have been accused of hating gay people.

"1. Maybe they should attend their national security briefings a little more often."

Bingo!! Even if they weren't specifically notified of the requests, I'm assuming that had they attended the briefings, or even bothered to read them, that they would have been advised of all the attacks, demonstrations, threats, etc., that had transpired in Benghazi over the months leading up to the 9/11 attack. The continual security problems cited in those briefings should have triggered a concern for the safety of the people at the consulate, and any security conscious person, President or otherwise, would have asked if there was enough security to protect our people who were there. Obviously, Obama/Biden had too many other things on their minds than keeping Americans safe.

Maybe they see a way to put Hillary on the hot seat if not taking her out of their circle of influence.

“Obama and Biden were never aware of requests for more Benghazi security”

Believing that would require a willing suspension of disbelief.

If one is inclined to believe Biden's line, then Biden may have inadvertently provided the very best reason for Americans to choose a leader whose primary background has been at the CEO level of an organization.

One of the requisites of leadership is knowing how to set up critical systems which protect and promote the organization in all its potentials for exposure, and then to monitor those systems to be certain they are working as intended.

The business of the United States of America is the most successful enterprise on behalf of liberty which ever existed. It needs a leader who understands that saying, "I didn't know," is an excuse, not a reason.

Perhaps the same line was used in the early 90's when the enemies of America infiltrated and attacked American interests, including the World Trade Center and repeated incidents following that, up and including the preparations and implementation of the 9/11 repeat of that dastardly deed.

It is not adequate now, and Biden has exposed a primary reason for new leadership!

Wait just a minute. If this is true, then how can Biden accuse Ryan and the of preventing the additional by denying funding?
