What Do Actual Doctors Think About Obamacare Now?
Forbes ^ | Oct 11, 2012 | Scott W. Atlas, MD

Posted on 10/13/2012 1:34:09 PM PDT by Innovative

This past February, 60 percent of more than 5,000 doctors surveyed said the Obama health law would have a negative impact on patient care, while only 22 percent thought it would be positive. And more than half thought it would have a negative impact on their relationships with patients, while only 11 percent thought the doctor-patient relationship would be better. A startling 43 percent said the health care reform itself would likely lead them to retire over the next 5 years, and only 37 percent said that was an unlikely consequence of this law. It is worth repeating that sentiment to understand the impact of ObamaCare - it is viewed as being so destructive that almost half of doctors said they would "likely" soon retire directly because of the law itself.

Just remember, YOUR vote counts -- the ONLY way Obamacare gets repealed is by electing Romney and Republicans to Congress.

If Obama stays, Obamacare stays.

The life you save may be your own and this is not an exaggeration.

That’s what mine is going to do. I’ve had him a long, long time too. FUBO.

My doctor read the entire law and then quit his position with a local clinic and is now practicing medicine in Costa Rica.

I sent out the following in an email today:

I have a Romney/Ryan bumper sticker - last election I was afraid of being keyed so didn’t put one on. I think we have an excellent chance this time.

Have read many stories out of Britain about how they deliberately kill people who go into the hospital - it’s called the Liverpool Path - they drug the patient then withhold food and water. Last night read an article about how the hospitals are being told to take immigrants - like from Somalia - but not to take all the British. UNBELIEVABLE! Already they’re lucky to even get a timely appointment. There was another story about a 30 something woman who went in (cervical cancer had spread) - had been given up to 2 years to live - they said she had an infection to treat - they labeled her as Do Not Resuscitate against her and her family’s wishes and the next day she was dead. The day before she had been talking, eating, laughing. Many other cases of family members finding their patient being starved and dying of thirst and they get involved and get the person home and safe. The British were once a great people who have now been turned into destroyed sheep because of socialism. We have to fight like dogs for our very lives because this is what the Democrats are trying to do to us.

It couldn’t be more serious.

If Obama wins I’ll be looking for another country and Costa Rica is high on the list.

We had an interesting chat with a doctor while he was giving my wife some shots this week - he said the $700 billion coming out of Medicare to help make Obamacare look “affordable” would be coming right out of doctors’ reimbursement - in our part of the country that may not matter because there are plenty of insurance companies to provide competition and help keep fees down so that most docs will still take Medicare payments, but in lots of other places - less populated - many will stop accepting Medicare patients because they won’t be able to cover costs - said the regulations wiil be even more crippling — already he says it is unlawful for him to waive the copays of patients who might be financially strapped because the government considers that trying to “induce” patients to come back to him for care - he must try to collect anything a patient owes him at least three times before he can consider the bill uncollectable - his son is now an undergrad at Johns Hopkins, but he has told the boy to go into any other field than medicine - my conclusion is that Obamacare will destroy what has been the best system of medical care in the world (but then when the president is trying to make our country equal to everybody else, what more could you want????).......

Our doctor closed his practice last Spring. We still haven’t found a GP who was as good as he was.

I should’ve said that he closed it in the Spring 2011, not 2012.

I’m surprised the administration hasn’t marched all the TV doctors in front of the camera from the soaps and TV shows to talk up Obama Care.

Now you KNOW they thought about it.

I spent 30 mins talking to my doc about BOcare. She isn’t taking any new Medicare patients, she says by next year she won’t be able to feed her family with more of them.

She referred me for a sleep study, the local doc who used to do them quit because of BOcare, so I have to drive 100 miles to have it done.

Obama backs IPAB ‘death pane’again despite bipartisan support for repeal

http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/03/obama-backs-ipab-death-panel-again-despite-bipartisan-support-for-repeal/

During Wednesday evening’s presidential debate, President Barack Obama repeated his support for the controversial Medicare Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) - often dubbed by conservatives as Obamacare’s “death panels” - in a back-and-forth with GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

I have two friends who doctors in London UK. They say their helth care system is an absolute disaster.

I have another friend who is an ER doctor in Tenn. He is from the old USSR (Siberia to be precise) and once served in the Soviet army. He says that the centralized healthcare in the Soviet Union is one of the reasons he escaped to the west. In their health care system patients have to bride the doctor, nurses ETC to get medication, water, food, care. He says we would be absolutely nuts and very very sorry if we institute Zerocare ... because THAT is what it would be ... ZERO care

We closed our practice a few years earlier than anticipated because of nobamacare. Patients were upset but you have to look out for your self and your family. We saw our chance...and took it. Moving from Maryland ( THE Freak state) to Utah was like moving to another better planet.

I've worked in a local hospital for 26 years

I have a close MD friend who is currently building a home in Belize
He is dead serious about it.

I have several MD friends who are preparing “Bug Outs” in the states
At least a third of those I talk to are
planning to retire within 5 years

The only ones not talking about it are either Liberals
or young with family and loans

It's serious as an anvil out there

Only a f’n marxist could possibly think government should run healthcare. What’s healthcare got to do with government?
