An American Lament
JEFFHEAD.COM ^ | October 14, 2012 | Jeff Head

Posted on 10/14/2012 9:28:25 PM PDT by Jeff Head

I never imagined seeing, in my life-time, a sitting President being caught on a live microphone and video consorting secretly with the Prime Minister of Russia, telling him to be patient and let the Russian President, Vladamir Putin, a former KGB leader and someone who is very ill disposed towards the United States of America, telling Medvedev to let Putin know that after he gets past the election he will not have to worry about the voters and would be much more flexible regarding US Security negotiations.

Or, that a sitting American President, when a US Consulate is abjectly attacked by terrorists onm the anniversary of 911, and our Ambassador to that Country and others are brutally tortured, sexually abused and killed by those terrorists...would flat out lie about it to the American people to improve his chances for re-election.

Such an individual at almost anytime in the past would be impeached and held up to the scorn, ridicule, and ostracized by the people of this nation...as well they should

Any person with an ounce of respect for this nation would remove themselves from the election and the ticket. It is one of the most shameful things I have ever witnessed in my lifetime.

Never mind the fact that 23 million+ Americans are un- or under employed with the rate remaining over 8% (as measured now...over 12% as measured in the past) for just about his entire presidency, that the deficit that he promised to half has ballooned by upwards of an additional 6 trillion dollars in four years (a thing he called un-patriotic when his predasessor amassed 4 trillion in 8 years), that 47 million people are on food stamps (15 million more in just four years) and that 15% of Americans are now below the poverty line and American families have lost almost 40% of their net worth in four years under this President.

Those things can and should be the subject of debate and campaigns and voting...and lead to an overwhelming defeat for a President presiding over it.

As Clint Eastwood said, "If he's not doing the job...you gotta let him go."

But those other issues I spoke of to begin with, well, they are just beyond the pale and should have produced a resignation or impeachment on their own accord.

God bless America and help her in this, one of the hours of her greatest need.

God grant we can put this traitor away, that his name becomes, like Benedict Arnold, synonymous with an abject enemy and traitor to this nation.

I know its not going to happen, but I would like some of them to have criminal charges for this kind of thing.

I agree.

There are plenty of things they have done that can and should bring criminal charges. Fast and Furious. PAssing on the voter intimidation in Philidelphia. Ordering agencies to ignore the legall passed laws of the land (DOMA, Immigration, etc.).

I hope he loses big time, and that afterwards hearings lead to such charges. Such actions by a President and AG cannot be allowed to stand and be ignored.

"Any person with an ounce of respect for this nation ..."
Ahh, but that's the key, Jeff, a too large percentage of American voters 'respect' only the dole they're promised by the criminal enterprise. These voters are herded like the cattle they've allowed themselves to become at Democrat party training. They earn nothing of which to gain self-respect, so they have no respect for the Republic since they are whoring themselves for the dole. ... And the democrat party has made that their empowerment scheme!

I wonder if Hispanics in America realize that they are the next demographic the democrat criminal enterprise plans to enslave and destroy initiative of?

Well said, Jeff. I can’t believe what we are witnessing either. Our nation has been Obamatized. The Won needs to be impeached!

Great to hear from you Jeff. Hope you are doing well. As you indicate our situation is unbelievable. IMHO the most culpable segment of our society is the news media. Without them this fifth column would not have gotten anywhere. God bless you Jeff. Prayers up.

I never imagined seeing, in my lifetime, my children persecuted for the color of their skin or their genitalia; this is the law of the land today, and a huge factor in why so many of the children playing in our playgrounds and filling our schools don’t look like the founding fathers anymore.

Montezuma’s Revenge isn’t just in Mexico’s drinking water...

Telling companies to ignore the WARN Act is easily impeachable too, IMO

Amen to that! There’s another one right there. And clearly done purely for his own political gain. There are so many events like this that it boggles the mind.

If they follow, observe, and bear true faith and allegiance to the US Constitution, and if they adopt and hold fast to the traditional values that have held this nation together, and if they are legally and lawfully hear...then I do not care what color they are, or where they come from.

When they are taught and brought up to not do those things, and in fact to rebel against them, when they are allowed to illegally enter this country and scoff at those very things from the get go, and when we have an entire political party and people in positions of high trust within our own government teqaching them to scoff at these things and abetting and enabling the same...then that is when we the people must throw off these things and get back to basics.

We have the opportunity...perhaps one of the last civil opportunities available...to do just that in November.

I pray God in Heaven we will choose to do so.

Amen to your lament Jeff.

I would hope Gov. Romney will have the opportunity to ask:

*Mr. President, what did you mean when you told Medvedev,”[You] would have “more flexibility” on issues like missile defense after the November election”?

Hmmm?

And that is just one question that should be answered and Americans ought to demand to get answers.

Neither party is opposed to affirmative action (though at least GW Bush spoke against it as “the soft bigotry of lowered expectations”); I guess the targets are supposed to just sit here & take it.

I’m married to one of them “here legally”; they are seeking the same opportunites our ancestors were, and paying taxes to pursue them in the meantime. No issue there.

Romney is preferable to Obama; I have nothing else positive to say about Romney or the Republicans.

Great post, but you forgot another big one...

Obama made several “recess appointments” to the National Labor Review Board while CONGRESS WAS STILL IN SESSION.

I wish I knew how to make photos I’d like to take a still of John Kerry at the convention when he said “Ask Osama Bin Laden if America is better off now” with a screen cropped in behind him with the photo of the poor American Ambassador being dragged in the street.

Give Obama credit for one thing, he knows “his” people can be bought cheap. “Obama phone”!

So much for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

...and Lincoln’s “Government, of the people, by the people, and for the people” takes on a whole new meaning.
