LONDON (AP) — You can't always get what you want — but if your desire is to attend a Rolling Stones concert this might be your lucky day.

The legendary band said Monday it would return to the stage this year with four concerts in Britain and the United States. The shows will take place on Nov. 25 and 29 at London's O2 Arena, followed by gigs on Dec. 13 and 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, just outside of New York.

The shows mark the first time in five years that the Stones have performed live, with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood all coming together once more. The band said it was the "crowning glory" of celebrations marking its 50th anniversary of its first gig.

Sympathy for the Devil......one of my favorites

Sweet Virginia for me. Then again, the whole Exiles album gets heavy rotation. :)

Never cared for them. Led Zeppelin, now that would get me out for an evening.

Put them out on the farm , growing and harvesting carrots

They still seem to have the energy and ability to perform well. Why not have a tour to thank all their fans for their years of support. They're considered by many, including me, to be the best Rock n Roll band ever.

And wheel my oxy bottle by her side.

...especially in this day and age when music absolutely sucks.

I was thinking of the “Not Dead Yet” Tour. But I liked them. Lots of great songs.

Sorry to hear that. Not much I can do for you I guess.

Agreed......It's funny but I wasn't into rock "back then" but the older I have become, the more I'm liking the groups that I used to just ignore. REO, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, ZZ Top, etc.....

The fact that the Stones are still able to launch another tour is a testament to the music they have created all these decades.....When I'm 85 and living out my last days in a retirement home, I'll still rock to "Satisfaction".

Can the punks who follow "RAP" say the same thing?

Saw the Page and Plant “No Quarter” tour 2...or was it 3 times. Pure heaven!

Stones were good too but just thought P & P were so much more creative.

Sheesh! Boomers self-indulgence never ends.

We earned it, we're spending it and if you have a problem with it then tuff crap!

Completely different forms of Rock. Zeppelin more took you on a journey. Very imaginative as you say. The Stones were more straight up rock and roll. And quite possibly the best ever at it.

For those of you doubters, the "Zombie Apocalypse" is a very real possibility.

There is no reasonable explanation for most of these folks to still be moving around the planet.

But it's not only Rap that sucks. It's damn near everything for the past 3 decades or so. Same goes for the TV shows, and even cartoons! I really feel sorry for the kids who grew up during this period.

OK, I did kinda like “Honky Tonk Woman”.

Cliff Bruner also likes a honky tonk woman.

I’m talkin’ ‘bout my g-g-generation. I’m a boomer and I consider the general nature of my generation to be worthless.

Problem with that? Tough crap.

They sucked in concert when they were 30!

I saw them in the 90s at Shea Stadium, and watched videos of other concerts since. They always sounded great to me.

The Cream reunion in 2006 was serious musicians and music. They didn’t need an army on stage to prop them up.

The Stones have toured for decades with an entourage that would fill a cruise ship. It ain’t Rock n Roll.
