Today I heard on either Beck or Rush, that there is a woman who worked for a government agency who has come forward to state she was in touch with the ambassador and Marines in Libya throughout the seige for over 6 hours. And now I am hearing that there was a CIA stronghold with a mile of the attack.
I cannot find any articles about this woman who says that she was in real time connection with these doomed men and that IIRC that the White House was aware of the attacks IN REAL TIME.
Any links or Free Republic threads about this would be appreciated.
Perhaps a bit off topic, but has anyone heard the results of Ambassador Steven’s autopsy, i.e., cause of death, manner of death, etc. ?

“Once at the annex, the annex has its own security – a security force there. There are people at the annex. The guys in the car join the defense at the annex. They take up firing positions on the roof – some of them do – and other firing positions around the annex. The annex is, at this time, also taking fire and does take fire intermittently, on and off, for the next several hours. The fire consists of AK-47s but also RPGs, and it’s, at times, quite intense.
As the night goes on, a team of reinforcements from Embassy Tripoli arrives by chartered aircraft at Benghazi airport and makes its way to the compound – to the annex, I should say. And I should have mentioned that the quick reaction – the quick reaction security team that was at the compound has also, in addition to my five agents, has also returned to the annex safely. The reinforcements from Tripoli are at the compound – at the annex. They take up their positions.
And somewhere around 5:45 in the morning – sorry, somewhere around 4 o’clock in the morning – I have my timeline wrong – somewhere around 4 o’clock in the morning the annex takes mortar fire. It is precise and some of the mortar fire lands on the roof of the annex. It immediately killed two security personnel that are there, severely wounds one of the agents that’s come from the compound. At that point, a decision is made at the annex that they are going to have to evacuate the whole enterprise. And the next hours are spent, one, securing the annex, and then two, moving in a significant and large convoy of vehicles everybody to the airport, where they are evacuated on two flights.”
Col. David Hunt says that all diplomatic outposts come with a panic button that when pressed puts the situation on live in the White House Situation Room, the State Department, and other locations. So the Administration saw what was happening in real time.
The woman who said she was in touch with the embassy in Libya for six hours during the attack was Charlene Lamb, State Department flunky - check the House hearings on Libya held on October 10, maybe available on C-Span archives - interestingly Glenn Beck was doing a story on the CIA connection to the attack on the day after it occurred - said Stevens was actually an agent who had gone into the area to try to track down US arms which had been sent there and would create embarrassment for the government if made public.......

That ‘flunky’ is the same woman in the State Dept. that denied the embassey requests ( at least 2 known written requests) for extension of security agents , and was the same person at the State Dept. who determined that the evacuation DC-6 wasn’t needed there .

According to invetigating committee testimony on Ocotber 10 , there was a statement made that there were 10,000 - 20,000 shoulder fired missles ( MANPADS ) missing. It was believed that either Stevens or the 2 other State Dept. employees were attempting to locate those weapons before they fell into the wrong hands .( M.B. ??)

Elsewhere (unconfirmed ) , I had heard that there may be as many as 40,000 shoulder fired missles in Libya , although that number is not included in the committee minutes .
