I felt it here in Plaistow, NH; a few seconds of rumbling and shaking.

I thought your post was some kind of comment on the debate tonight. I just saw Fox report it.

After reading this thread it seems that there are probably more than enough New Englanders on FR to put together a New England Shoot. I won’t be able to get the money together for the Annual Texas Cowboy event any time soon. Maybe we could have a shoot and bbq New England style?
Don’t mean to hijack your thread. Anyone interested in putting together a Nor’ Easter shin-dig please Freepmail me.
Thanks,
APM

There aren’t any well-defined fault lines out this way. Quakes are mostly notable because they are infrequent, not because they are catastrophic. Didn’t even rattle the dishes here, and if it’d passed in 2 seconds, would have been like a nearby lightning strike.

Yes, we felt it here in Exeter, NH and my Dad who lives 120 miles south of us in Carver, MA also felt it so it was powerful for this part of the country. It was also felt in VT.

Ten miles north of epicenter here in Limington. Thought this old farmhouse was caving in.. ran the whole family outside! Leave it to obama to fire up the earthquake machine to distract us from his dabate..
