Lubbock, TX - The Department of Economics at Texas Tech University and Worth Publishers invite you to a public speech presented by Prof. Paul Krugman, winner of the 2008 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, on Thursday, October 25th at 5:00-7:00 pm on the TTU campus in the Human Sciences Building, Room 169. Prof. Krugman's speech is entitled "The Crisis: Year Six", and will be immediately followed by a "Questions & Answer" session. Space is limited, so please arrive early.
Professor Paul Krugman is the 2008 Nobel Prize winner and a Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He received his BA from Yale and his PhD from MIT. His research is mainly in the area of international trade, where he is one of the founders of the "new trade theory," which focuses on increasing returns and imperfect competition. He also works in international finance, with a concentration on currency crises.
In 1991, Prof. Krugman received the American Economic Association's John Bates Clark medal--awarded annually to a U.S. economist under the age of forty who has contributed significantly to economic thought, and regarded by many as the second most prestigious award after the Nobel.
In addition to his teaching and research, Prof. Krugman writes extensively for nontechnical audiences. He is a regular op-ed columnist for the New York Times. His latest trade books include End this Depression Now!, recently published, The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008, a history of recent economic troubles and their implications for economic policy, and The Conscience of a Liberal, a study of the political economy of economic inequality and its relationship with political polarization from the Gilded Age to the present.

I live in Lubbock but I wouldn’t cross the street to hear this guy.
If it were me, I’d take the walk and attend. There’s bound to be a few hoots for this east coast elite, alighting in Texas, since the economy in Texas is in better shape than most of the country because of the private sector.

Maybe Governor Perry or Brooke Rollins will show up to explain to Mr. Krugie exactly how and why the Texas economy is doing so well....and, that it's certainly not due to any policies or theories this idiot subscribes to.
Nobel laureate cretin.
Another Nobel laureate of the same value as the kenyan cretin who was awarded the peace prize for mythical and projected efforts toward peace. The Nobel in fields like chemistry, physics, medicine, still have some merit but the rest are BS resume enhancements for socialists who have little to nothing of use to the world to put on their resume.
I don’t support dissing guinea pigs. As rodents go, they are cute and nice pets. Krugman is a rodent but he is a rodent of the lowest and most scummy order. Even sewer rats retch when someone associates the likes of him with their genus.
I am not a big fan of vomiting in public.

I can understand that!
Krugman deserved a Nobel Prize In Economics as much as Obama deserved his for Peace.
In Krugman’s case, it was a bunch of socialists giving an award to another socialist.
