The country’s full of New Yorkers that weren’t.
There are actually New Yorkers who have lived their entire lives without ever having left the city - not even for a visit.
I better not go there {comment wise} i might get into trouble
Moved out in 1964. Happiest day of my life.
LOL thats ok they can stay there if they want i ive in the boondocks and i’m just fine with never visiting a city ANY city for that matter !
I can’t blame you. Especially now. It was much better when Rudy was Mayor and I hear rumors he may run again. New York City is my favorite city in the world. It’s Los Angeles and the State of California I’ve refused to go to.
I lived in Phoenix and Tucson and I loved Arizona (especially Phoenix). I love the culture of Texas and much of the south including Tennessee. The Real America is what I think of them.
C'mon.Never having left Texas or Hawaii...maybe.Never having left NYC...sorry,doesn't sound plausible.Except, maybe, for the disabled.
Most of the rest of the USA would be pleased if NYC was excised and parted from the rest of us. Keeping all the MSM HQ with them of course, they suit each other so well......
I left in 1976. Been back a few times and I'm always glad I left when I did.
Jeff Cooper, the firearms instructor said that when he was in the military he dated a girl from Manhattan who had never been off the island.
I was in NYC a few months ago. Loved it! I met lots of people from there who loved it! They all wished they lived somewhere else, but they loved NYC.

Just wait for the big bank layoffs to accelerate. Also, salary and bonus cuts.
The average New Yorker knew very little about the real world outside of NYC and some thought that visiting New Jersey was going to a foreign country. Some New Yorkers even wondered if they needed a visa to visit states in “flyover country” — the Midwest and South.
84% Don’t worry, be happy.
This is what happens right before a meteor hits or something.
Yep!
After 57 years in Fun City, I was finally able to move to America in ‘02.

That’s true in other places though. I have business phone contact with many people in Dallas who were born and raised there and never taken a vacation or been anywhere else. Not sure why. Seems rather boring. We have such a big wonderful country with lots to see and do.
Re the 16% of New Yorkers who are not OK with NYC, I swear they have all moved to Texas. Having been to NYC a few times, I can understand why they would want to leave. Big city life is not my cup of tea. Too many people, too much noise, too much concrete.
