Does anyone have any further information on the Tagg Romney owning voting machines in Ohio? I'm reading about this from various facebook pages (libs, of course) so decided to google it and it seems it originated in a rag called the Cleveland Leader. People are sending this to Eric Holder for an investigation.
Has there been any coverage of this in the MSM? If this were true, wouldn't it be headline news 24/7? I'm just curious if anyone has any reputable information on this subject.

We don’t need to apologize to someone on the internet we don’t even know and have no way to verify anything they say.
MY post, which you have replied to, made that clear. I left open the possibility that this person merely has used bad judgement in how they have approached this, thereby spreading rumors/lies started by libs.
The excuse was, “I was nervous about Ohio and was afraid this would get traction there, so I came here to find the truth”.
I told the poster to stop acting out of fear, and stop using poor judgement in spreading this, even IF that is their motive and not being pro-Obama.
In my original post, and I was in first and pinged the mod to have a look at this, not once did I say the poster was a troll or WAS pro-Obama. I said this posted thread HELPED Obama by spreading this stuff beyond where it had gone so far. The headline itself should have had a disclaimer on it, and I will NEVER take back that POV.

There are always a few crackpots on the ‘net that’ll believe (and advance) ANY rumor, no matter how unfounded. Sorry, but I draw a distinction between a topic that’s “all over the internet” (as the OP maintained), and one that’s being kicked around in a few dark corners of the webz.

Good, I’m glad you have the mods checking it. I believe you will find that you are sadly mistaken. As far as what I posted, I was under the impression that we have 1st Amendment rights in this country and what makes you think your opinion is right, and others are wrong? Egotistical much?
What appalled me the most was the number of websites that appeared repeating this story when I googled it. I would prefer it be far more obscure than it is. I had a very hard time finding a website to refute the charges. Most of the fools I know will accept it without a second thought. That scares me.
That was my point exactly. I searched the internet for a factcheck or something to debunk this, however, came up empty. I did this before posting it here. All I found was page after page of this rumor being spread and people repeating it and posting it.
Some people have their arrogant heads in the sand, and I don’t consider it poor judgment when I ask a perfectly legitimate question. I have to have fire to fight fire, as they say. So far, I have nothing to combat their lie with.

Uh... it’s already pretty obscure. You really have to hunt to find it. It doesn’t just pop up when you go to any mainstream media site. Heck, it’s not even above-the-fold on Daily Kos! It’s just a blurb on one of their “diaries”. I’ll say it again: crackpot blogs, nowhere else.

To answer the question, you can find tons of stories about Tagg owning voting machines, please reply to these posts on facebook and just ask them what reputable news source they get their news from, there is nothing they can find to back this story up. In the end it's not doing anything for them, they can scream and lie all they want, but it's not going to change the outcome of Romney's landslide victory, and they will just have wasted their time and energy posting about signing a petition that doesn't exist instead of actually doing something to help the campaign of their candidate, much like trolling and attacking a freeper on a post like this.
I know. This morning someone on the Topix Dayton thread posted a link to a Forbes story that makes it clear that a couple of people with ties to a voting machine *manufacturer* made a donation to Romney’s campaign. Their concern is Romney will be blamed if the machines malfunction! This of course morphed into the nonsense that the Romneys own the machines. Why the two of us couldn’t find that yesterday, I do not know. Perhaps it was buried clear back on Bing’s page eleven?
