The Obama-Libya fiasco is mind-boggling, especially when you consider the people involved: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and David Axelrod are famously capable political players. They know better than almost anyone how important it is to get out ahead of a bad story.
Secretary of State Clinton could write a textbook on it, and I mean that as a compliment. Yet here we are, more than a month after the sacking of a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, and the story is bigger than on the day it occurred. It just keeps growing. Psychologists can no doubt pinpoint the initial instinct to fudge facts -- to make bad news sound just a little better -- but that doesn't explain why day after day, week after week, this administration has failed to come clean and give a considered and definitive answer on what happened. That's the only thing that's going to make this story go away. I'm not talking about what happened with the attacks. That's become fairly clear: There was a deadly terrorist assault on a clearly underguarded U.S. consulate on the anniversary of 9/11. What needs to be explained is why the White House spokesman, the State Department and UN Ambassador Susan Rice told the American public a tale about the nature of the attack for more than two weeks that doesn't seem to be true, and that they may have known wasn't true. What's even more head-scratching is how President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden both managed to make the story worse in their respective debate performances. Everyone on the debate prep teams knew this question was coming, yet the president and vice president flubbed it. Indeed, they exacerbated it.

The only reason this is causing the Obama administration grief is because we’re in the midst of a presidential election and Romney’s able to force the media to cover Behghazi and the administration’s reaction.
Normally, Obama/Clinton would be provided full cover by the press, but the MSM is only able to do so much in an election year. In an off year, about the only thing we’d be hearing is Issa waving papers about, McConnell issuing statements from the Senate floor, and the Democrats and their toadies declaring it all “old news.”

Some thought President Romney not hammering B. Hussein Obama on the OurAmbassadorGettingSlaughteredAlongWithThreeOthers-gate was a serious mistake. On the contrary, President Romney didn’t get his point completely out, but now everyone has had six days to find out what exactly happened, plus the debate will be on foreign policy. Look for Romney to completely eviscerate B. Hussein in tomorrow’s debate.

IMHO if Romney goes at this from the Position that this is the result of the Presidents Ideology it will Nail Obama to the wall,My point is that Anyone who has been paying any attention to This administration over the past 4 years KNOWS he is Sympathetic to the Muslims.
Romney should give a Brief Synopsis of all Obamas Actions that demonstrate this,Fort Hood Shootings,Failure to Call it Islamic terrorism,Trying Combatants in Civivlian Courts,The release Of Prisoners who go back on the Battlefield and Kill Americans,The Censoring of all Government documents that Mention Islamic Terrorism, They Refuse to Call out who we are Fighting against.
Then you go to the Main FACTS that have emerged from the Stevens “sensitive” Documents sent from Bengahzi in the Weeks before his Murder, The ones that Mention that the recent attacks have NOT been Random but Organized and Coordinated,the statements That ISLAMIC EXTREMIST elements are GAINING strength and Security is NOT sufficient,THE ALQUEDA flag has Been Flying over Govt Buildings. The American Red Cross attacks were done by Extremists.

If Obama and company would have said the opposite, ‘this was another in a series of terrorist attacks over the years, and we will go to the depths of hell to find them’, folks would have probably been somewhat on board. Had the 4 Americans not died on September 11 we would still to this day not know how big a disaster Obamas Libyan policy and entire middle East policy is.
Obama is correct when he states the deaths are not optimal as the incident unmasked his charade.

We still don’t know where Obama was when he heard nor if he went to a command center and watched the entire six hours unfold. And as yet, to my knowledge, no one has asked him.
I wouldn’t go with Benghazi. I would go with why Obama would hire an incompetent like Hillary and with every failure of the state department over the last four years, why hasn’t he asked for her resignation or fired her?
Let’s have Obama answer that one.
One of the problems is that we are looking at Obama's coverup based on our memories of Watergate. The difference is that the actual event that gave rise to the Watergate coverup was not very important in itself, did not involve the nation or national policy (much less defense!), and Nixon neither knew about it in advance nor had any control over it. Furthermore, if the press hadn't kept after Nixon, the issue probably would have been resolved with suitable firings and then it would have dropped out of sight because it really had no national or policy significance.
Obama, on the other hand, is in deep trouble because his administration's policies created the conditions for Benghazi and there is no disputing this. He personally was obviously aware of the attack when it happened and has no explanation for his inaction. When he initially attempted to claim he didn't know about it, he was verging on being perceived as criminally negligent, so he had to drop that claim (furthermore, nobody was willing to be the fall guy for his supposed lack of information). So all that is left for him now is to invent a different story every day and hope that the press will conveniently change its story of the day to match his (as Crowford did) and that the rest of us will be so confused that we'll cease to believe our lying eyes.
Furthermore, everybody in his administration has dirty hands in this affair, all the way up the food chain. We're not talking about a few rogue campaign operatives, as we were in the case of Nixon, but about the Secretary of State, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the head of the CIA, the Vice President, the UN ambassador (a position, btw, that Obama made a cabinet position), and so on. So this is why they're so desperate and are practically stepping on each other in trying to come up with more and better spin. But there's really no favorable way to "spin" it.
