When Schieffer asks the question (regardless how he puts it or how he might try to frame it in order to help Obama), I think he should start out by saying the following:
How about no federal budget passed at all.

The main points I would cover:
1. Loss of life
2. Loss of intelligence
3. Loss of IDs and passport making equipment
4. Exposure of/death of any assets that were assisting us
5. Makes recruiting of other assets in other locations much more difficult, because they can’t be assured that their id will be safeguarded
In light of bradley manning/wikileaks/libya embassy/egyptian embassy, I doubt we could recruit anyone with any sense to help us.
I would ask why two Countries the US liberated, Egypt and Liyba, and have poured billions of dollars into those countries, have now turned on the US.

When Obama jumps in touting his ‘investigation’ Mitt needs to nail him by pointing out the FBI didn’t go to Bengahzi until two weeks later, because they didn’t think it was safe for them there. It wasn’t hard for them to figure out. Not they were being pushed there very hard. Multiple news organizations searched the site before the FBI arrived. I wish in the last debate Mitt had complemented Candy for ‘her side’ getting there before the FBI. I don’t that line would work with CBS’s Schieffer.
