It is a credit to the success of FR that we run into traffic issues and slow downs on debates. I will continue to come here for updates. However a back up plan may be to use twitter and end with #FR so tha twe can search by Free Republic tweeters. Just a thought.

There’s a free republic Facebook group. I’ve been posting there during debates.
It seems to work faster when your not logged in.

I prefer the yahoo group as a backup.

Obama just announced he’s only going to stand there and scowl tonight so that should cut down on the traffic.

Yep, I’ve used them before, still have my Yahoo group subscription.
Facebook has faster reloads and does most on the fly (no having to push reload every time). Very desirable in a live thread.
Sadly, and as much as I love it here, this site is built with 1995-esque technology, and can’t keep up with today’s bandwidth demands. I won’t even both trying to look in tonight.
Truly, this whole site is dated, and could use a face lift.

Nope, you’re not. I don’t do Facebook, nor Twitter.
I don’t know if anyone else is having issues, but FR has already slowed down greatly for me, and keeps timing out. I’ve been trying to post to this thread for 15 minutes.
I guess tonight I’ll check out gopbriefing room’s live thread, like before. Also, a Freeper said the Daily Caller has a good one for debates and the like.
