You clearly didn’t read the piece, but thanks for your comments anyway. I suspect they make you feel superior to us rubes enjoying conservative porn.
The reason I know you didn’t read the piece is that I clearly point out in three distinct places, maybe more, that this is a less than perfect victory and leaves a daunting amount of work to do and we’ll be led by leaders who still do not get it. Maybe come down off your high horse, or is that high horsemen, and read, learn, engage.

That is one thing I liked about your piece, a tick of reality, the idea that this is not a perfect victory. I think what bothers me is the revised cheer-leading of Romney and this diluted conservatism. We are deluding ourselves if we thing the man is born again rock-ribbed conservative. In fact that is a rare commodity in political circles. At some point we have to stop before we weaken conservatism so much it becomes a characterure of itself.
We have to draw a line and soon. Those who are acting as if things are all hunky dory have just because we got a win by a guy with an “R” after his name need to grow up.
As someone said up thread “it is what it is”. Sadly we have been saying that for years as we accept what scraps are handed us. I wonder if that will be said as we seek shelter from the final fall of our republic...
