Obama Supporters Rally Around Anti-Mormonism
Legal Insurrection ^ | October 25,2012 | Anne Sorack

What would you think if you were told that the most bigoted, intolerant, hateful, and xenophobic political messages this election cycle are being spread by Obama supporters?

From ridiculing and disrespecting the Mormon religion to spreading secretly taped videos recorded by an Obama supporter in a Mormon church, those on the left are sanctioning this particular form of bigotry because it’s all for the cause: Obama.

Nowhere is this more obvious than in the media, where pages upon pages have been devoted to Romney’s religion. Vicious, anti-Mormon rhetoric, ramping up in the final days leading up to the election, has been spread by MSNBC and CNN hosts, the New York Times (they have devoted an entire section of their website to articles about Mormonism), Washington Post, and the Daily Beast’s Andrew Sullivan, to name a few. Yesterday, Breitbart’s John Nolte revealed that Gloria Allred’s October surprise client is spreading anti-Mormon hate around the Internet.

In one recent segment, which I took notes on right after the Tampa convention, Rachel Maddow, having attacked the religion in various ways and perhaps sensing her own intolerance, offhandedly remarked that everything she had said was “ok” because Romney mentioned his faith in his convention speech, rendering it fair game.

A quick perusal of the search results for “Mormon” on Salon.com, which resulted in 5 pages of results, reveals such headlines as “Is Mormon underwear magic,” ”What we should ask Romney about Mormonism,” and “Ann: Mormon missions are just like military service!”

I've posted about this many times about how the liberal left-wing mindset is not merely about the misguided, convoluted perspective in which they see the world. Those who espouse a left wing-wing liberal philosophy may be victims of a degenerate pathology manifesting anti-social, intolerant behavior, lack of discipline, where anything goes and the end justify the means among other uncouth, immoral traits.

The revoltingly obscene 'Bush is Hitler' meme is the quintessential example of the sort of demented, anything goes type of behavior I'm talking about. Another example is the Million Big Bird March, the fate of which I am not aware of, whether it occurred or not,but was very much alive last week as the liberal response to Romney not supporting "Sesame Street".

Would marching a million Big Bird characters across Washington, DC be a rational way to protest Romney's lack of support for Sesame Street programming? Maybe they somehow temporarily gained some small sense of sanity and rethought the idea.

Last week, I posted two threads about liberal excess in the manner in which they manifest their troubled personas specifically from two threads at Twitchy, a site that follows twitter comments, citing examples where liberals were quoted making extreme statements about their animosity towards VP nominee Ryan, many using the as of yet unheard of phrase, hatef*ck, a term no doubt created by a liberal to describe pathological hatred towards VP nominee Ryan the day after the VP debate and the thread in which liberals advised black supporters of Romney to kill themselves.

And here we see a similar example of the type of left-wing, liberal pathology I spoke of, where certain traits common among liberals are manifested with liberals joining in together in tacky, tasteless, even extreme, anti-social behavior not ever witnessed among other groups such as Republicans, conservatives, etc.

They’re about out of options. I doubt they thought they’d have to go that level...but they’re about to be thrown out on their face.

...so they’re desperate.

Over at the DUmp there is plenty of anti-mormon bigotry. That liberal tolerance just shines, doesn’t it!

Mormonism is a creepy micro-managing, guilt loading, money sucking, hypocrisy breeding cult.

Sort of like collectivism. In fact, early Mormonism was a collective, until they saw that it didn’t work.

But this whole thing of the Obama collectivists dogging on Willard’s religion? Get on now.

Disgusting, but no surprise. Leftists hate Christianity and love the middle eastern death cult that wants to take over all countries in the world by violent means.

Very interesting. I’m just in the process of rounding up antimormon websites, and most if not all seem to be democrats/far left.

One, in particular, have *omly* reams and reams of antimormon topics, but the whole of the front page is 9.11 and muslim insurrection videos.

Don't confuse Christianity and Mormonism, they are religions opposed to each other.

The media slams Christianity all the time. Yet, they ORDER people to believe obama is a Christian and not a muslim. Now they’re trying to destroy Romney over his religion. Why would we expect anything else?

Be sure and include ALL of the Christian sites representing various denominations, from Catholic to Protestant, to Greek Orthodox, and Billy Graham's site (temporarily removed) labeling them "cult" as do the Orthodox, and in a more subtle way, the Catholics.

Its not creepy. Its not micro-managing. Its not guilt loaded nor money sucking. And certainly not hypocrisy breeding.

It is a Church. We believe in Christ. He is the Son of the Living God. We serve others. We do our best to keep Christ's commandments. We seek to become full of charity toward others.

But you are right about the hypocrisy of the liberals trying to use intolerance to further their political agenda.

Enjoy the research.

You will find people arguing “facts” that they cannot prove while claiming to possess spiritual superiority over the other religion. The bigots would be funny, if they didn’t come off as so mad.

We do our best to keep Christ's commandments

As opposed to those who believe they are "saved" from obedience to God's orders and the true test of one's character.

Interesting.

Give me a break...the premise of this article...

...As if FR or ANY conservative sites haven't concentrated heavily upon Obama's Muslim associations/ties...or didn't focus upon Rev. Wright in both '08 and '12 election cycles...

Is that "bigotry" to (vs. Islam)???? (vs. Wright)???

No, it, isn't...

But this writer -- and some posters -- have trouble maintaining ANY sense of inconsistency.

(He mimed, claiming some sort of "spiritual superiority" over critics of Mormonism...Loud Mime's intolerance -- "bigotry" if you will -- of any and all critics of Mormonism...[keep in mind Billy Graham called Mormonism a "cult" on his Web site for YEARS before removing it recently]...would be funny if he wasn't so upset with people critiquing Mormonism)

In fact, early Mormonism was a collective, until they saw that it didn’t work.

Yup...'Twas a "revelation" to Joseph Smith & ensuing Lds "prophets" to practice what they called "The United Order."

Communist communities set up all over Utah.

In the late 19th century, a Marxist visited one of those communities...was influenced by that and integrated it into his books...which was read by the Soviet Marxist dictator...there ya...Mormon communism affecting Soviet Communism around the world over 100 years ago!

I don't understand the hatred of Mormons. Regardless of what we "Christians" think we know about their beliefs,by all appearances they live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Having said that, we are not electing a Pope, but a President.

Give me a President who lives by the morals taught in the Mormon Church ANY DAY.
