Nice. My guess is Gallup is the only outfit using the correct D:R:I model.

We are only a week away from the election. To be up 5 points in the Gallup and over 50% is a VERY good place to be for a challenger.

To be at 46% and 5 points behind one week out is an absolutely HORRIBLE place to be if you are the incumbent.

Haven't seen much of Michelle lately...she must be packing her bags.

It’s really hard to see Romney losing this lead (he’s been at 50%+ and Obama’s been at 45-47 for 14 straight days)...

With a week to go.... I am cautiously optimistic.

Fingers crossed.

It is getting close enough that some purple states should tip red: Iowa, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and depending on the impacts of Sandy, race could tip in NJ, and believe it or not, NY could tip if NYC is incapacitated.

What do we make of approval at 51-44?

My only concern is the hurricane bumping up Obama’s numbers, but Isaac did not help him, so I doubt this will either. I think even independents are so turned off even him looking presidential won’t help.

I would like to know how, in one day, his approval went UP 3 and his disapproval went DOWN 4. That is a very very very big swing in 24 hours.

With the over-sampling, it is over for Obama.

I can’t wait for next week. Rasmussen has Romney leading in Ohio, 50-48.
