Fox: Staten Island people in the streets fighting one another for food, water, clothing
Fox News Live | 11/2/12

Posted on 11/02/2012 7:13:59 AM PDT by pabianice

The excremental liberal press is boycotting coverage of this to protect Obama but Fox is covering it. Staten Island has received zero help after four days. Bloomberg has stolen three huge generators to power marathon tents and given no help to the people of Staten Island. The entire borough is a ruined disaster. No food, no water, no gasoline, the homeless wandering across the island with no shoes, no socks, injured, starving, crying for help from camera crews. People fighting one another over dumpster garbage. Death toll rising.

Another Liberal success story.

The generators are privately-funded and privately-owned, according to a marathon spokesman quoted by the Post:

The New York Road Runners Club, which organizes the world-famous race, is paying for the generators, which were supplied by Long Island-based On Site Energy for the massive, 80-yard-long tent.

"Too bad that a lot more weren’t able to evacuate..."

The problems is is the numbers we are dealing with. Let us say for instance 75% of the people on Staten Island left before the storm (I doubt it was that high)

That still is over 100,000 People left on the Island. They have no power or safe drinking water and the food is probably gone if it wasn't destroyed already. And Bloomburg is still gonna run a stupid Marathon that starts on their turf.

I know If I lived there I would be livid.

The other thing to realize is many of these people can't get to work if they even have jobs anymore (think how many businesses are destroyed in the tidal surge) They are soon gonna run out of money so they won't be able to buy stuff anyhow even if they could find some to buy.

This isn't Katrina. This is 30 Katrinas and we will find that Gub'ment won't be able to cope with the demand.

If my facts are correct isn’t Staten Island one of the boroughs? All disarmed citizenry thanks to Bloomberg.
No legal guns to defend yourself or property, you will end up getting arrested and face the courts and jail time after everything is settled, if you shot at a looter.

I can’t think of a worse place to live.

Yes but perhaps more than one of them, D or R, might have noticed the Island part of Staten Island as in ‘surrounded entirely by water.’

I was trying to suggest "benign neglect" by the Commies that run the city."Why should we help *them*? They vote for *Republicans*!"

Those people need to be evacuated NOW and what is left of their property secured until services can be restored and clean up begin

There is no “shelter-in-place” in neighborhoods with this degree of damage. There are entire blocks gone. Restoring power is not their priority. It goes to the bottom of Maslow’s hierarchy

Since the Katrina democrats set the bar by placing total responsiblity for natural disaster on the POTUS (Bush) .... what is OBAMA’s plan for NYC and NJ?

Reverend Jesse Jackson claimed that racism was a factor in the slow government response, stating that “many black people feel that their race, their property conditions and their voting patterns have been a factor in the response.”

Commentator Lou Dobbs of CNN has claimed that local officials should bear some responsibility, saying that “the city of New [York] Orleans is 70% black, its mayor is black, its principal power structure is black, and if there is a failure to the black Americans, who live in poverty and in the city of New [York] Orleans, those officials have to bear much of the responsibility.”

Oh wait...that was what the media reported in 2005, but wait, it applies to New York (crickets....).

No subway system working and no gas is going to lead to a lot of violence - in an area that is already violent on a regular day to day basis.

Where is the wall to wall coverage? Check out the pictures in the sight below. Also look at the pics of the Rockaway area on the same sight. Looks a lot like New Orleans. Wondering why dems are still crowing about the Bloomberg endorsement. He looks like a fool.

I need the subway to go to court in both New York and Brooklyn County and both lines are still flooded.

This is going to be a complete fiasco for months.

I’m hearing nothing of the sort.I live in Brooklyn,i have friends and family on Staten Island. I would have heard something from any number of sources.
I know they have it bad and they were blasted but nothing about hand to hand end of the world zombie apocalypse.

I guess some intrepid souls will need to to hijack some busses, load them up, and get people out of there.
That is not a place to stay and wait for help.
By next week people will be dying from hypothermia and disease if no adult steps up and takes charge.

Since Mitt is helpless and obama is clueless, maybe Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani need to organize a private relief evacuation bridge and get people out of there to safe shelter.

We don’t know if there were rapes in the stadium. There were a lot of crimes committed during Katrina. The police were not able to follow up on all the crimes committed. Just too many.

I have a friend who is doing relief work on Staten Island near Fort Wadsworth, I spoke with them this morning and the scene you describe is far from accurate.

My brother is in East Rockaway - which got hammered. No electricity, no fuel, no stores, no heat - no nothing since the storm. The entire area is literally dead-in-the-water.

Same on the Rockaway peninsula - plus fires - where my brother is. I haven't heard from him since Monday before the storm came ashore.

The Red Cross and other liberal nonprofits will be there soon - with offers of free counseling...

The Red Cross hasn't shown up in Rockaway, neither has FEMA nor the National Guard. But Occupy Wall Street is there with free hot meals.
