Vanity: THE GREAT EXPERIMENT IS OVER.
Self ^ | November 6, 2012 | A Navy Vet

Bambi has won as I write this as of 8:15pm PST. Romney doesn't have enough Electoral Votes to counter California's 55 EV's. It's a done deal.

The Fedgov bureaucracy will increase; business regulations will increase; joblessness will increase; debt to our children will increase; corruption/secrecy will increase; energy independence will decrease; and on it will go.

We are heading into a 2nd World nation. Let's shake hands with Greece and Spain as we join them into economical oblivion. Maybe Germany can bail us out. Pfft.

What a great ride we had.

" Now is the time to impeach him tomorrow."

Dream on. No one in Congress has the balls anymore to do such. Hell, they won't even fight against his Executive Orders that so often contradicts Congressional legislation/law.

It's over, this great experiment in self-determination is now officially toast. As attributed to Benjamin Franklin, "Once the populace realizes that they can vote themselves the treasury (taxes), the nation is over". Or words to that affect. The "gimmes" now have taken over from the "producers".

My suggestion to all, protect your assets and live your lives like there is no tomorrow. Our plan is to spend every asset we have and die with dignity, integrity, and honor.

“We have the Congress..”

Not entirely. The Democrats and Harry Reid still have half of Congress.

If there is depression and hyperinflation, democrats and liberals will suffer the most. In an environment like that, only those who are self-reliant and inventive maintain or thrive. At some point people have to learn the truth either through imagination and open-mindedness or hard experience.

This country has chosen hard experience.

Also quoted this way:

It is enough that the people know there was an election.
The people who cast the votes decide nothing.
The people who count the votes decide everything. ~ Joseph Stalin

Though the first part is usually omitted...

H.L. Mencken: “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

Obama said, "Vote revenge." Valerie Jarrett said, "There is going to be payback. If you were with us you will be rewarded. If you were against us you will be punished. There is going to be hell to pay."

I wonder if we just turned into that democracy you referenced. It sounds like the Bill or Rights just went out the door, anddear leader will reinstitute the French Revolution redux.

KoRn ~ We have the Congress..

Let_It_Be_So ~ Not entirely. The Democrats and Harry Reid still have half of Congress.

Not at all. The democrats and Reid have the upper half.

Boehner and the RINOs have the lower half.

We have nothing.

Not the Executive Branch
Not the Legislative Branch
Not the Judicial Branch
Not even the Propaganda Branch

Thank you for your words of encouragement!

My family hails from the Volunteer State - Fentress County to be exact.

I repeat myself (I am under the influence as of my return from my stint as an election judge in Minnesota) but you should know....

NEWS FROM THE FRONT

I am an election judge in Michele Bachmann's district in Minnesota (small "c" conservative) and I could not believe what I saw.

Over one in four voters were new registrants (didn't even vote in 2008 for Obama) and they were scum! I didn't know they lived here and many were from out-of-state.

I guess handing out food stamps and removing work requirements for welfare and extending unemployment really swells the Democrat voter rolls.

Dat n***** really know hows to get out da' vote!

If the fightin' gets tough, no better place to be than Tennessee! Least I'll be with my kin.

Stay safe, fellow FReeper!

"One of two things. The machines were widely pre rigged to translate a small fraction of Romney votes into 0 votes."

Not enough fraud to make the difference if you include Cali 55 EV.

"Or the taking class is now in charge and we are screwed. Either way I’m pretty sure we are screwed."

Hear's my thinking about protecting what will be the last stance for our liberties: Support Arizona, Texas, and other States that support carry and/or concealed carry. Other than that, move to Costa Rico and hope their political system doesn't go down.

IF you return to Tennessee, there are three areas to avoid, if you can, because they are becoming liberal cesspools: Memphis (really all of West Tennessee), Nashville, Knoxville. Upper East Tennessee is holding the line, but with the liberal East TN Sate U here, it’s only a matter of time until even this region begins to stink.

"We need our Republican Congress to assume it’s Constitutional place as a CO-EQUAL branch of government and GROW A SPINE!!!"

You're dreaming. Congress is lost. Make other plans for you and your family.

The worst is yet to come BUT the GOP is now a branch of the Democratic Party—They will be forced in to an accommodation with Harry Reid and the Progressives. There is now one party for all America. Thank you George Bush! Thank you weak kneed Mitt! The nation will be transformed! If you have any money—get out of the USA as quickly as you can. Gold? What a joke. The Government will just take it from you as they did in the 1930s. Hyperinflation is coming—how about a Big Mac at $26 a piece? Gas, $8 a gallon. Your Children will sing praises to “The One” and his new America—a nation with a new flag—with his face.

"They’re loving this thread at DU. Get a grip."

I couldn't care less what those leaches think at DU.

"Get a grip" on what? That we lost our last best chance to restore our Nation to Constitutional principles? Get a grip on some future hope that Congress will do the right thing? You're the one who needs to get a "grip" on the reality of our current national affairs. Our time is over - the "gimmes" won. Make your plans accordingly.

"Cede no territory. REMEMBER BENGAZI"

No one gives a shit. If they did, they wouldn't have put a Marxist back in the WH. Too many only care about "Obama stash". It's over.

And no, I have no problem with being pessimistic. The truth is what it is. However, if I see domestic storm-troopers or UN troops looking to bust in my door without a legal warrant signed by a judge, I'm taking some with me.

“Texas and other sensible states need to make it very, very clear to states like California that we WILL NOT bail them out since they continue to do foolish things.”

Those states will be compelled by a coercive Washington government as long as there is any money to extract. Only when there is sovereign bankruptcy will Soviet style dissolution and autonomy begin.

"Our Education system has finally performed up to their expectations."

Exactly what I said to my Father-in-law as we watch the returns and he wondered why so many would vote for a man who has such a poor performance record. It all comes down to the hippies of the '60's and their ideologies taking over our school systems. Plus, they also preached to the poor that they deserved more from the producers.

The greatness of the United States of America that changed the entire world for the better is dying.

With all due respect, just stop. What the hell are you or anyone else going to do? "Avenge us" in some "Red Dawn" fantasized scenario? Really?

Being a combat Vet, feel free to tell me I'm wrong and what to do from here. There is NO return to Constitutional principles from this point forward. The "gimmes" have too much control. Personally, I believe in going Galt and going underground. Feel free to contact me via Freepmail, but that is not secure.

I used to live in Bachmann’s district in St. Cloud, and I worked in the ER. Along with polling places that’s where the scum collects, and believe me there was plenty.

Agreed. I was hoping that this would be like a Carter Admin on steroids, but now it looks like it will be another FDR Admin on steroids, or worse! Because of that, I’m not praying for just another Reagan anymore, I’m praying for another Truman AND a Reagan.
