Spot on. Very often getting what we choose is in fact the curse we get - it’s really simple and does not require God to do much at all but let us have our way!

He apparently chose not to heed the prayerful pleas so earnestly made.
I was always taught that God’s judgement was individual. That there was no collective judgement or punishment. And that God’s judgement is reserved for eternity not our mortal existence.
God not only curses and blesses individually, he also judges collectively.
Look at Sodom and Gomorrah.

Uh, I suggest you read your Bible a little more thoroughly, maybe starting with the following:

Proverbs 3:33
Malachi 2:2
Genesis 19:24-25
Yes, "God is love" - He does love everyone and wants all to be saved through His Son, but He hates sin because, in His holiness, He cannot tolerate sin. He will reward those who turn their lives over to His Son with eternal life with Him, but He will send those who do not turn their lives over to His Son into eternal punishment.
That was my first thought as well.
I have a different take - God began to remove His blessing from America well before Obama was elected or re-elected. We, as a nation, have progressively distanced ourselves from God and turned our backs on Him for many years.
- We have banned Him from our schools
- We have tried to eliminate Him from our government
- We are becoming a nation free from religion, instead of one that embraces freedom of religion.
As a result, God has tried to warn us of our neglect for Him, but we have not heard and certainly not heeded. Therefore, and I can't say exactly when, but He began to remove His blessing from America. The result is that we have been attacked on our soil, our economy is in shambles, crime is rampant, and we elected and re-elected a socialist.
No, God is not cursing America for electing or re-electing Obama, Obama's re-election is an on-going part of God's blessing being removed from America such that we are reaping what we have sown!

God does not change. It is us who change to invite the inevitable bad things.

The Bible is clear, God curses.
The rich can afford to pay and it wil be the Middles class and the Obama voters that will die.

I believe it is only in the old Testament that “G-d cursed/curses” is used directly, and that conforms with the new testament scriptual choices you gave.

Yes, I know. Now find me one in the New Testament; and not just a reference to “a curse”, “he was cursed”, or similar, but “G-d cursed.....”.

I suppose if you don’t believe in prophecy it doesn’t matter but here’s some references from the NT.
Matthew 24:9 – “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.” Rev. 20:8 – “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.” The results of coming against Israel are quite clear to anyone who wants to see.
You make a false distinction between old/new testament. God has not changed. Jesus came not to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfill.
The curse of Genesis 12:3 is still in effect. All the true children of Abraham (Gal 3:7ff) have this promise. The only way to avoid God’s curse is to continue in ALL the works of the law. Only the man of faith can do this, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. (Gal 3:12,13).
Every unsaved person at this very moment is under God’s curse.
