The certain oncoming American economic collapse, when and how?

Posted on 11/11/2012 5:19:18 AM PST by reaganator

Many of us know the continuation of Leftist economic policies are destined to cause the economic and fiscal collapse of the United States. The Republican controlled House of Representatives may be a temporary firewall. My question is what will be the order of events of the melt down? I expect with each piece of the failure the federal government to intervene even more causing more problems. It would be very helpful in making preparations to survive these times to have an idea of how and when the collapse will unfold. If you have also been speculating on this topic share your thoughts, or especially if you have any knowledge based insight please tell us what you know.

We have just passed the tipping point where the problems of our country can be solved through the ballot box.

The sooner the economic collapse comes the better. It will provide an opportunity to take back the country.

Look for the GOP to help us out by voting for total amnesty, allowing another $2.4 trillion to be added to the debt ceiling, raising taxes and doing nothing to stop the war on energy producers.

Just keep buying food and get a good water filter and enough weapons and ammo to protect it.

Thank you for the link. I just watched the 8 videos and became a lot more educated. Previously thought a lot about what she has to say, but didn’t know the magnitude nor that we were already way over the cliff.

The only way out is for all the countries to decide NOT to pay.

You have overlooked government seizure of all wealth. (I do not advocate it, but should be on the list)

I've gone back and reviewed history. Mao in particular, but likely any from Mussolini to Mao will do. The biggest thing to keep in mind is America is in a soft revolution. Violence on the scale like Hitler/Lenin/Stalin/Mao is not likely for now...but not out of the question.

We already know the printing presses are running at full speed(this is a forced inflation to cause destitution). Historically, the dictators took advantage of an economic crisis, in our case they are creating it.

Second 0bama garnered more of the youth vote. This overlooked bit of information is important. He needs the destitution of the nation to rally the promises to the youth.

Third, we already had reports of MSM heading out to look for ‘right wing nuts’ to interview/mock by example. Mao did this just before he started nationalizing businesses and taking the farmland of the landlords.

Fourth we're witnessing some sort of regime purge. Both militarily and administrative. Historically, they would have been taken out and shot. Here, softly they retire? This I believe will change too. For their sakes I hope they take their families and get out of the country. As Patriots they may be able to help us more from outside the US than within it.

The collapse is pretty well staged at this point. Historically it is the ‘students’ who will tell us the collapse is underway. Under Mao it was the workers and students. I believe we are just a few months out and way past the tipping point. What is vastly different from the historical model is the leadership is already in place as opposed to having to seize power.

So I've been pondering...how much collapse do they need to flush out disinters and what will they do with us? Reading through other blog sites and some FB conservative host sites it is very clear that compromise to the liberals means total capitulation. Any dissent is willful disobedience, not just a different opinion. Business owners laying people off because they can't foot the 0bamacare requirements are deserving of losing their businesses entirely. No liberal understanding there are loopholes in the law for them to keep operating their business. So the temperment is just about right for a collapse and rise of ...the new America.

Rush was saying something like 14 months. Basically Christmas time next year. I think we'll be seeing much stronger indicators way before then.

I see the ultimate problem of figuring the best path to take.

1.Take any savings out of the bank and buy assets, i.e., generator, more arms, build an extra room for more prep supplies?
2. Pay off any credit card debt (not sure how that helps)?
3. Hyperinflation means everything will cost more, so should I buy now anything I might need in the next ten years?
4. None of this will matter if the government or the banks confiscate everything once we all lose our jobs.

Under Mao, he eventually ruled there was no such thing as property. My point being, we’re watching the cultural set-up for that. They are going to get it anyway. This idea of demonizing business owners is to justify either taking and shutting them down or nationalizing them. 0bama’s future Secretary of Business will call the shots on the bigger companies, but make no mistake...being a small business won’t save you either from the fascist state. If you are too small to afford 0bamacare ...you are too small to be in business.

For whatever reason I don’t think conservatives are coming to terms with what is about to happen. We’re in denial. We talk about what they are doing as if they are just being stupid about economics and not understanding we’re in the middle of economic warfare with a hybrid progressive communist. Even I don’t grasp why they need this power, when a successful America was the greatest power on earth? I don’t get this, any of this...but they’re doing it anyway?

Out of China’s crisis ...came Mao and many of his policies exist unto this day along with a powerful China.

Why would a progressive communist who gains power of the greatest nation on earth, destroy its economy, to raise it up into what? We had the wealth, prosperity, military power, ideas, etc. Crush it...to rebuild it in their own image? What is that image?

And the thinking amongst many business people here is that to compete with China, we have to become more like them, with business and government becoming one in the same.

Agree with all your points in post #81.

It’s just a matter of the public realizing what we are discussing and reality will hit everyone hard.

I don,t think they are concerned about having control of the greatest nation on earth, except to destroy it. They know, just like Stalin, that the elite in government will still have their dachas to go home to and all the perks they enjoy now.

Like Stalin, they just don’t want their enemies to have anything.

Of course Obama’s stupid followers know nothing of America’s greatness.

They also don’t understand communism or socialism’s failure. They’ll gladly hop on those trains (they are on time) for a ride out to all those new jobs in Siberia.

It would have happened already except for the fact that a bunch of other countries are in worse shape.

When the market crashed, a flood of dollars started running out of the US Treasury markets. This halted and reversed when the rest of the world started tanking too.

It could happen tomorrow, or it could be delayed a year or two. I started preparing in 2007, but I need a couple of years to be able finish up the plan.

I know when Argentina collapsed, the banks closed. What I don’t know is what happened to the loans? Did people still have to pay mortagages? Did they still have to pay credit cards.

I know they couldn’t get their money out of the banks, but if they had savings in those banks, were they able to offset that balance against what was owed on their mortgages?

I am not really disagreeing that they will print. While they may be smart enough to realize that it wouldn’t do any good, the pressure to “do something” will be enormous.

What I am saying is that the out-of-control price inflation seen in hyper-inflationary periods could not happen. The economy would simply collapse the moment that started. This is why we can’t print our way out of the sovereign debt problems, let alone all of the other (even bigger) problems.

jj, just because it won’t work, doesn’t mean they won’t do it...

once weimar got going it was easier to keep printing than to stop, and it’s the same in europe now. they keep increasing the ceiling on ELA for greece, because it’s easier than bailing them out again or pushing them out of the euro

also, you can have a major inflation due simply to velocity increases as a result of loss of confidence in the currency. It happened in france in the post weimar-period.

the Catholic Church will back down....just like Catholic Charities, there's too much money to be made being cushy with the govt....

I say this sadly as a Catholic...

but if I'm wrong I'll make another prediction....if the Catholic church sells its Hospitals because it won't do abortions, the Presbyterians or Baptists or Mormons will snap them up almost immediately...

Catholics are held to higher standards, and other groups, not so much...
