a United Airlines pilot had to make an emergency landing after a passenger refused to stop praying in the aisle.
...On the flight from Denver to Washington, DC, a man got disorderly when attendants wanted him to go back to his seat and stop reciting religious verses. Needless to say, the behavior frightened many other people on the plane, and a small group, no doubt with 9/11 at the top of their minds, were moved to take action.
Desperate to get the man to stop his outburst, passengers banded together to subdue him. The pilot alerted the control tower that they would need a military escort to guide the plane to a safe landing. Once on the ground, police swarmed and took the man away in handcuffs.

Reminds me of the Egyptian commercial pilot who cried Allahu Akbar as he tried to take down his airliner.
We should all carry a small squeeze tube of bacon grease for occasions like this. Once subdued shove some down his throat, smear on his face etc. Allahu Porky Pig!
So its the other passengers’ fault. What would happen if this were done while in line at the security gate right in front of the metal detector?
How many times did this sort of thing happen in the aisle of airplanes in flight in the decades BEFORE 9-11-2001?

I didn’t. Most of all the squawking didn’t happen until after 9/11. I think it is in part our own fault— we started showing extreme weakness with all the PC carp.
squawking from the muslims
Most fanatical religion on earth. It wants to kill every non-believer unless they convert to their religion. It wants to keep women uneducated and behind the burqa. And it wants everyone to live like life was in the 7th century. Religion of peace my azz. With all the suicide bombers already gone to get 72 virgins, there can’t be many more left.
If an evangelical Christian had stood up and refused to stop praying he would be in federal custody now pending prosecution for the federal crime of causing a malicious disturbance on a flight.
They are probing again - to see what - if anything will be done - prelude to an attack... The black flag of Islam indicator is waving...
isLame has got to GO! Death cults are NOT constitutionally protected religion.
6:15am LOLOLMAO Coffee Spritz! Glad I didn’t have a mouthful of Cherrios and raspberries! Whooooo-eeeee!
There will be a lawsuit. The airline will bow down in submission and apologize. The current occupant of the oval office will say that the airline acted stupidly.
There is a lot to be said for Pavlovian conditioning.
Ivan Pavlov was a famous Russian physiologist, who taught his dog to associate the ringing of a hand bell with feeding time. When he would ring the bell, his dog would start drooling. Much was made of it at the time, because people realized that people could be conditioned to give a response in the same way.
In this case, in modern air travel, when someone attempts to disrupt a flight, be they a religious fanatic, a philosophical fanatic, drunk, on drugs, mentally ill, or a “common, ordinary, run of the mill *sshole”, a variety of Pavlovian conditioning is in order.
The other passengers should seize him, give him a thorough whupping, mummify him in duct tape, and sit on him until the plane lands where he can be turned over to the authorities. They will then stand him up, de-mummify him, likely with the loss of considerable body hair, put him in restraints, and take him to a holding cell, where other prisoners will give him yet another good whupping.
Eventually such people, the aforementioned religious fanatics, philosophical fanatics, drunks, druggies, mentally ill, or “common, ordinary, run of the mill *ssholes” will eventually learn, through Pavlovian conditioning, that when they even *think* about disrupting an airline flight, they had better start drooling.
This is called “science”. And it works.
Yet they love automobiles, cell phones and like to hop planes to come over here. Their culture couldn't design and manufacture a flashlight! Go figure......
heh My personal ROEs are a little more permissive than the official ones.
Where in the article does it say he was Muslim? I missed that. I was a flight attendant, and we always had the Orthodox Jewish men ask us where they could pray during a flight.
Besides, I read another article regarding this Denver-Dulles flight, and an eye witness on the plane was quoted as saying that the man simply wanted to go to the bathroom...it had nothing to do with praying.
Who to believe?
