PLANT CITY | A Tampa Bay area mother confessed to drowning her baby in her apartment's bathtub, saying he has the devil, according to an affidavit released by police.

Talae Thomas, 30, is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of her 5-week-old son, Chase Harrison. She is being held without bail at the Hillsborough County Jail.

There was that Andrea Yates a few years ago who drowned her 5 kids in a bathtub and instead of the chair, she got a non-guilty verdict due to postpartum and a long stay in the loony bin. Disgusting.

Something tells me this child also has no father at home. And if the family already knew she had problems, why in the world was she allowed to be the primary care-taker of this child? Was she on medication? Her current conditions had to be worsened by postpartum depression.
