[Vanity] Time for the House to Cut Up the Credit Card
11/27/12 | ez

Posted on 11/27/2012 3:38:24 PM PST by ez

Blam just posted that Dems are now seeking to extend the debt ceiling now as part of any fiscal cliff deal. Hell to the NO!!

It's put up or shut up time Republicans. You give lip service to smaller government...PROVE IT.

The debt ceiling is the line in the sand. No debt ceiling increase, no tax raises, NO MORE SPENDING.

You will lose this PR battle anyway, do something that will mean something. Shut it down. Live bold, reset the game, subvert the dominant paradigm.

You have the power to make the government live within it's means in one, fell swoop. Don't make a deal...let the cuts happen. Don't agree to raise taxes, and DON'T EXTEND THE DEBT CEILING.

I just sent a similar email to my Senator Ron Johnson and told him to hold the other Repubs feet to the fire also.

I’ve been confused about how to handle the negotiations, but now I see clearly...we have to fight spending at every turn.

The Republicans will cave.

There will be no spending cuts. Ever.

Why do you think this will matter?

THERE HAS NOT BEEN A FEDERAL BUDGET IN > 3 YEARS.

During this time, over ten trillion dollars have been disbursed from the Treasury.
Nothing can be done now to stop it.

There will be cuts if sequestration happens, right? Let it happen I say...

That post right there is all you need to know about why America will fail.

Congress has been neutered. So, what do we need ‘em for ?
Their whole claim to fame was the hand on the money spigot.

Mr. Jim Noble gets the post of the year award (at least from me).

Prepare people, as best you possibly can.

You have a very depressing point. Going back to shopping for a .22.

Anything less than 10% growth is a "cut" probably... I guess we shall see

Sure they will. Hasn’t everyone learned yet that no one, and I repeat, no one stabs you in the back quicker than these Republican turds (Obama Rim Job Fat Boy Christie come to mind amongst others or have you forgotten already). When the going gets tough the Republicans hide, cower and take a big dump on those stupid enough to keep voting for the (R) after their name. It is way past time to tell these republican bastards to take a hike. All of them. Until there is a critical mass of the electorate that does not have their heads eternally in their fourth point of contact NONE OF THIS MATTERS.

Well, there “could” be. When about 5 million armed americans showed up at the Capitol and raised a little hell, our spineless speaker might grab some sack and stand up to the marxists.

Oh well, excuse me for fantasizing, I forgot, we have no leader because if one came forth many of our own whiney conseratives would tear them to shreds...............uh, Sarah Palin anyone!

3 million super smart conservatives stayed home giving us all four more years of this sob. Jeez! If only 326,000 of the 3 million had showed up in the right precincts, Obama would be headed to the history books.

“3 million super smart conservatives stayed home”

So...it’s the fault of Conservatives? Maybe if the GOP had a CONSERVATIVE candidate, more Conservatives would have voted.

The GOP doesn’t want Conservatives, and we don’t want them.

As for his holiness getting reelected, I’m fine with that. The collapse is going to happen, so it might as well happen sooner rather than later, so we can begin to pick up the pieces and move on.

Never happen.

Yes, congress and the White House spend money like a drunken teenager at the Mall of the Americas, but the metaphor ends where the government idiots can simply steal money from the citizens and call it “taxes” and/or print up as much money as they like.

Plus, they can delude themselves and each other by saying it’s “for the good of the country” when what they really mean is that it’s for the good of my constituents, and buys me their corrupted votes.

Well, yes, I think it is the fault of conservatives that did not vote. I understand that they did not like Romney. Neither did I. But, the math is undeniable. We have Obama because three million conservative pubbies didn’t go vote.

Notwithstanding all of the foregoing, I agree with you totally on your last sentence!

Thomas Paine said it best..........”I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace”.
