Placing toilet paper imprinted with President Barack Obama's face in a fire station has led to a firefighter's termination and he had until 5 p.m. Friday to turn in his badge.
It was Clint Pierce's third instance of posting political paraphernalia on city property and a violation of a direct order to cease and desist from such behavior, according to city records.
"It was clearly a case of insubordination," city spokeswoman Sandra King said Friday. "He had a similar situation of posting political messages on city property and he was given a free pass at that time and told to cease and desist and he did it again and really exacerbated the situation."
Expressions of political views that could be considered offensive or divisive don't belong on municipal property, the city says.

Since he's been down this road before twice and been specifically told not to engage in this activity I have a hard time finding sympathy for him. He's an agitator, likely thinks he's better at his job than he is and probably a pain to work with.
If the rule is against posting political paraphernalia and he kept posting it, then this is justified. If the libhole in my office posted pro Obama posters etc, all over the office I wouldn’t want to look at it all day. I would complain. I wouldn’t use the Obama toilet paper anyway. I wouldn’t abuse my feces by subjecting it to him.
I hope the fired fire fighter gets a great job from a conservative employer. As for Miz King, she should get what she deserves as the realities of the deep depression set in next year and she gets her a$$ fired!

I see around here in suburban Detroit that township, city, county workers have managed to remove all the political signs of the season...per ordinances.
Except on corners they managed to leave “Prop 2” signs out, which was a union-funded proposal to enshrine collective bargaining into our state constitution.
It was soundly defeated, but these union thugs ‘forget’ to remove their signs. Not a coincidence.
Bush TP would have been allowed.

A fire fighter in Miami was demoted for posting a personal opinion on his personal facebook page about the effect of welfare and the lack of a father on “urban youth”...this was in the midst of the Trayvon Martin media hype.
The black “leaders” of the “civil rights community” in Miami called him a racist.
We who love liberty had better start taking a stand, folks. Thugs cannot be allowed to rule us.
