Weve lost the battle in Washington for now, says Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C. The new goals, he says, are for conservatives to prove their principles work in states and to defend against President Obamas effort to steamroll whats left of the Republican Party here in Washington.
As a guest on Istook Live!, DeMint agreed that Obama aims to crush his opposition now so they cannot resist his agenda over the next four years. Said the senator, They smell blood in the water and theyll keep pushing theyre not coming our way or coming to the middle to try and govern.
However, he acknowledges that a very few Republicans will go along with the presidents tax demandsbut only those officials who probably arent real Republicans in the first place.

Matters not, if we don't have honest tabulation. Only an idiot would trust voting machines.
The RINOs wanted it, and they lost the election and destroyed the GOP in the process.Eff them all including Graham, McCAin and Karl Rove
Let the GOP die its ignoble death, and initiate USIP ( Tea) ( United States Independent Party-Tea), spread the conservative message in this style:

Well, we have already had an instance where Obama declared the Senate to be in recess and made recess appointments. The GOP issued a few statements and then did nothing to stop the usurpation.
He nails it. We, the States, need to fight. And I hope he cosiders running for higher office. Their side is already gearing up for 2014. We can’t rest.
I am right there with him. Our biggest threat is our Pravda-media..and they need to be rebutted and challenged every single time. Letters to editors on local newspapapers, online blogs, calling TV stations, etc. by indidivuals. And the Tea Party groups are not dead. I meet with several in my area as all politics is local. We work on those issues as well as a broader agenda. The Left has a huge jump on us in that regard, they have natural organization efforts on campuses, unions, etc. We need to be able to do the same, taking our case to small groups at a time. We may have been in the minority this last election..but by no means was that an overwhelming minority.
DeMint: They generally believe in a collectivist, big government society, and they see the government as a key player in our economy and our culture. And anything we suggest otherwise is alien to them. So their paradigm is big government.
Istook: Youre talking about the paradigm of the liberal Democrats or the media?
DeMint: Its the same thing.
I am proud to have him as my Senator. I’d hate to lose him but I agree, I would like to see him run on a presidential ticket. He is a good fighter and his PAC has been working with ‘tea party’ state level races to get more conservatives in office downstream which is important.
I agree. Who gives a crap what the media and the race baiters say. It’s all going to be pro Obama all the time anyway. What do we have to lose by putting all on the table and going full negative on the POS? Tell it lime it is. Hes a commie trying to destroy American. There is nothing “nice” about him.
Will someone ever grow a set of balls in the RINO leadership? Pelosi has bigger ones than Boner!
I hear you. A lot of us have been prepping for collapse.
I like your fight .
You are correct .
Bonehead represents the Lobbyist elite class of DC and there clients .
His entire former staff are lobbyists and they feed him
Power and control and he keeps the tax dollars flowing !
Now, Senator, that's not a nice thing to say about House and Senate Republican leadership, is it?
You forgot “Back off, vultures” . . .
We are reliving the Lincolnesque FedGov power grab of 1861. The only way to fight now is to mass Conservative power at the state level and fight on even terms up to and including secession.
“The GOP and conservatives have failed to advance their ideas and philosophies.”
If that’s true, then explain why republicans and conservatives control 30 states, which is up from 25 in 2010.
Explain why nearly 1,000 rats have been thrown out of state legislature seats and state-wide political offices since 2010.
Sarge, you make good points to reinforce the notions of voter fraud in the 2012 Presidential election and collusion between the R&D parties.
Apologies, sergeantdave; I’ll take those stripes back now.
