Should Snyder Sign Bill Allowing Concealed Weapons in Schools? (MI)(POLL)

Should Michigan's governor sign a bill on is desk that would allow concealed weapons in former no-gun zones, like schools?

The question is timely for two reasons:

* Under legislation that passed the House and Senate in Michigan this week, gun owners with concealed weapon permits could carry a gun into schools, daycares, hospitals or public arenas if they get extra training. The bill is awaiting Gov. Rick Snyder's signature, according to MLive.

* And on Friday, a gunman opened fire in a school in Newtown, CT, killing at least 27 at an elementary school, including 18 children.

So, your point is that if I gave the averag elementary school teacher a .45 handgun to place in her desk, she would be more likely to kill her students with it than to protect them?

Wow. And people say conservatives are anti-teacher!

Funny how having more guns in Israeli schools has led to not a single attack against children by a friendly but you apparently think American teachers are raging psychos who want to kill kids but somehow are deterred from multiple child murder simply because there’s a law against concealed carry on the books.

In other words, I’d say you’re numb as a hake, but that would insult millions of innocent fish.

I’m sure I ran into him a few times back then. I knew he would get the zot eventually. Typical classless douche to do that on a thread like this.

“Should we have armed patrols at every school in the country?”

All that has to be done is get rid of top heavy administration employees at the main office, and use that money to put an armed guard in each school and that guard is not a 70 yr. old retired guard from a shopping mall. A crack shot guard is what is needed and publicize the hiring as a warning that attackers will be killed. Put a big sign saying that on every campus. Then, kill any SOB who comes with a gun to cause trouble.

...Why do you see the answer to gun violence as increasing the opportunities to acquire weapons?...

Because, you dillweed, if an idiot knows that there are concealed weapons at the school/theater he wants to hit, he may think twice about preying on innocent people.

My best bet is that, when all is known, all the weapons the perp used were illegal. So tell me, smarty, how does banning firearms prevent killings of innocent people by loonies who have access to illegal firearms? HUH? HUH? HUH?

Not that the MSM has had a good track record so far with this incident over the past 2 days, but it has been reported that the firearms were all legally-obtained by his mother. He took them after killing her.

(And some are blaming her already for not securing them against him, even though she apparently took him shooting on numerous occasions.)

OMG, what a Maroon!
(He didn’t know how to spell Moron)

Were the teachers able to fight this guy off, and defend the children, with their good intentions and strict gun laws?

No.
But a bullet could have stopped him sooner.
Either way, people in that state of mind will find a way to kill. He could have used a bomb. It’s been done. How sad.

It’s our job to find a way to stop them.

Do you think Gov. Snyder should sign the legislation allowing concealed weapons in Michigan schools, daycares, arenas and other “no-gun zones”?

Yes, I would feel safer. 22 (70%)
No, we need tighter gun controls. 9 (29%)
It doesn’t matter, and won’t change people’s behaviors. 0 (0%)

Total votes: 31

**************************************************************

Disingenuous question and responses. True it won’t change people’s behavior but it most certainly could be changing the outcome.

What you did was wrong, and no amount of gloating on your part will change that. You put a black mark on your own heart, and you're gonna carry that weight, my friend.

That is the thing about liberals and their whole theology. They do not believe in right and wrong. Their only moral guide is whether the action advances their agenda or not, and their agenda is so ambiguous (greater good for the greater number, sometime, somewhere) that they can justify any moral outrage, from mass rape to mass murder without a second thought.

” Here it comes, folks. And our good friend SAR just showed us exactly what they’re going to say and how they’re going to say it.

So when you hear someone like SAR saying this stuff to use it to strip you of your God given and Constitutuonally protected 2nd Amendment rights remember this. SAR hand those like him or her have addresses. They go to work, they go shopping, they go to the bar, they go to the movies. It’s simply impossible for them to maintain a security perimeter of any kind indefinitely. Use that.

And remember this, anyone who wants the Government to disarm you wants to do something to you and they don’t want you to be able to resist.

Think about that for a minute.

Sleep well SAR. We all have to sleep sometime.”

OK now what’s all that supposed to mean?

Trolls get the full wrath of the Viking kitties?
