At one point way back in the Carter administration, I was very, very close to just chunking 10+ years and getting out of the military. I had had it with the garbage. BUT, I hung in. But, NOW, I can tell you I would get out. I could not stand to be on active duty now. I would end up in prison. I cannot believe this is what my military has come down too. The wonderful men and women who gave so much for this Republic must be rolling in their graves to see what this Republic has dipped into the bucket of hell it has become.

I served in the Navy from Nixon to Ford and even though they weren't exactly conservatives they would have been appalled if we were instructed to ass kiss the enemy trying to destroy us...

...the Taliban and Islamonazism in general are not much different than the Soviet military in my time bent on our nation's annihilation...only without class or personal hygiene.

We have a CinC who has no clue about “before shot shoot dumass!”

Well the job of our soldiers is to speak not with their voices but with their weapons. Odd that the Taliban is part of our enemy and our soldiers are supposed to kill them but not to criticize them.

I have so many friends/family that have gotten out the past year/couple of years because they saw the changes coming and knew it was retire now or get tossed out .

Last week on Jan Markell's radio show they interviewed Michelle Bachmann and you would not believe how far this thinking from the OIC has infiltrated our government . It was shocking , just shocking . There is a recording of the show here .

I understand the Taliban like men in pink tu-tu’s with white tights. Is that going to be the new Army Uniform?

I did my time. 7 of 8 years overseas 68-76. Were my son or daughter tell me now they wanted to be in the US Military, I’d not only tell them no, but HELL NO! It is not now a place to wantonly throw away your life for political expediency, especially the current CINC’s traitorous expediency..

My tag line expresses my sentiments about this and all the other insanity going on these days.
I wasn’t a career man but I went straight from high school to Navy boot camp and served my hitch and am happy to say I received an honorable discharge. I would never be guilty of encouraging any young man now to join any branch of the military any more than I would encourage them to join the Outlaw motorcycle gang.
Our military is being corrupted and I don’t even like to think about what the purpose is for corrupting it.

Clausewitz wrote about “The friction of war”. He said that the way to win was to reduce the “friction” for your force. This increases friction for our side. It would be nice if we had some admirals and generals who could figure out how to give the enemy more friction.

So - Why do two of the five taboo subjects concern pederasty? Just askin. Might get the answer from any returning, deployed soldier.
