First, there are already more than 20,000 gun control laws actively on the books today and none of them prevented this tragedy. Second, millions upon million of people in America own guns and 99.9999% of them have never and will never do anything like this.

So, let’s lose the hysteria and analyze the facts - a PERSON did this, NOT a hunk of steel. In Portland, a PERSON killed two people in the mall, NOT a hunk of steel! In Denver, a PERSON shot up the theater, NOT a hunk of steel!!

NONE of these facts will matter to the gun-grabbing nanny-staters, because they focus solely on the gun and nothing else. So, what happens if ALL guns are outlawed and forcibly collected by the feds? Someone bent on committing mass murder may turn to knives, hatchets, chainsaws or machetes. So, we outlaw those. The next person to commit a heinous crime may use a bat, poison, poison gas or a semi-tractor. And the one after that may use a car, a pen or pencil, a rock, his hands . . . . . . so when do we blame the PERSON and NOT the inanimate weapon!???

The fact remains that until the left understands that murdering humans by ANY means including their favorite method, abortion, human life will be valueless and more copycats will come out to exercise their demented mass murder of innocent people.

All of that said, it occurs to me that the gun-grabbers are from the leftist school of complete control. What that means is that if 1 person commits a gun crime then, under the leftist theory of the “collective” and “groupthink”, they believe that ALL gun owners will commit mass murder unless they eliminate guns (good luck with that!). So, the calls for more gun control by the left after these incidents is twofold - eliminate the “balance of power” the Founding Fathers so carefully wove into the Constitution and gain total control over the people.

Another part that affects all of this is the fact that laws, whether gun laws, robbery laws, or whatever, are written solely to affect law-abiding citizens. People who commit crimes are called “outlaws” and criminals because they DON’T adhere to the laws created to control or stop their illegal activities.

So, should the left create additional gun control laws, will it prevent the next gun-related crime? Of course not. Laws only affect those of us who obey them. Those who disregard the law won’t be stopped from committing whatever crime they want to commit.

As a final note, Adam Lanza did not own the guns he used to murder all of the people at Sandy Hook Elementary. They were his mother’s guns and they were all legally purchased and registered. Which begs the question, what will any NEW gun control laws accomplish?

And let them carry concealed.

No more cowering in fear.

Put in place protocol more along the lines of what those brave souls did on flight 93.

Lets roll.... take the bad guys OUT.

With extreme prejudice.

Remember the graphic after 9-11, the statue of liberty cradling a child in one arm, and the other with a revolver .... caption says “the most dangerous place is between a mother and her children “

Let the teachers be that lady liberty.

Let the teachers say to those evil perps “thus far and no farther”.

Let the teachers be the first line of defense- cops are minutes away when there are only seconds to act.

I said Gohmert 2008 and Gohmert 2012, but no one took me seriously.

Almost every school has two principals. One should be trained to use a gun, keep it in a safe place, and be prepared to use it if necessary. Sixteen years ago, there was a school shooting in Scotland, of kids about this age. Gun ownership was already highly restricted. The new laws did nothing to keep such weapons from falling into the wrong hands. Bobbies once were unarmed; now they carry guns.

“Do we really want folks in movie theaters, and shopping malls, and schools, armed?”

We’ve tried it the liberal way for several decades. Having everyone disarmed except for the murderer didn’t work so well for the people in the theater in Aurora or the teachers and kids in Sandy Hook or the college kids in Virginia Tech or dozens of other “gun free zones”. Let’s try it our way for a few years.

Louie, you moron, the principal doesn’t need a gun. He needed locks and security at the friggin front door. The communists who run the schools will NEVER make the school hose a safe environment. These mass murders are just the ticket to create gun control hysteria. Lock the doors, Louie. Lock the doors. Millions of Americans have given their lives to protect our gun rights. Are those lives wasted because liberal dirt can’t or won’t lock the doors?

Schools need to be secure environments. Like court houses. Nobody should be allowed into a school facility unless they walk through a metal detector and ONLY if expected. It's so simple. Yet so horribly, bloody sad that kids die because adults are friggin stupid. Lock the doors. Its a crazy world out there. Lock the doors.

Not practical, the teacher’s first priority is to protect the children and they need to be with them to do that.

Wasn’t a direct quote.

Now wouldn’t you have rather not have said what you did?

Looks like an M1 carbine. The very definition of a handy little rifle.

Oh, I don’t wish anything except a super win in Super Lotto, but it seems now that the J-school graduates correct proper English into their pidgin English.

I have an AR-10. It is very big and heavy compared to an AR-15 chambered for the Russian ammo.

If you want an AR platform with a larger caliber projectile, go for the 300 AAC Blackout. Uses standard AR magazines and bolt group. Leave the 7.62x39 for the AK platform.

I'll take it one step further and suggest subsonic 300 AAC Blackout ammunition in a short barreled rifle with a suppressor. Protect the children and their hearing.

I’ll betcha somebody at my elementary had a firearm. Of course this was before the MSM and lefty media was an issue. The nut that took this place out was going to blow regardless. I guess Obama will ban firearms, fertilizer and movies with one stroke.

The ONE thing the libtards will never confess is opening the door even wider to Satan’s demons. They own it.

My senior year of high school (1994-5) one of my teachers had just transferred from Las Vegas and she mentioned that she'd been issued a stun gun by the school district. She had to use it twice; the first time was at school when a drugged out Blood tried to attack her in the middle of class, and the second time was when another gang banger tried to jump her in the parking lot after school.
