Before they give up on the pieces, they ought to consider inviting forensics experts from the NSA, or other specialists (such as top data recovery firms) have a go at it.
I read a report that there were two computers in the home (other belonging to his mother), and that one should be checked as well.
I don’t believe there’s any conspiracy here, nor attempt to cover up findings “that don’t fit”, regardless of some of the posts made above.
I just don’t think the Connecticut State Police has enough resources to adequately piece together damaged hardware like this. They had trouble with evidence in the Peter Reilly case, too.

The LE has been very very stingy with info. Then they leaked a little to NBC, a favored media of the prog left.

Scanning electron devices can do a lot with beat up platters, just depends on how bad they want the info.

Real forensics do that of course, there’s a full snapshot which cannot be written, with audit for things like chain of custody and so on.
And platters can be bent or broken, you can still get data. The preferred method I’ve seen is cunntin in pieces with a couple plate shears, then dropping in wat of strong acid.
That 'fact' has morphed. In truth, both fathers have bank accounts.

I thot this dumbass kid was a flaming genius? His computer lab perfessor claims the punk was a real wiz putting stuff together. So the best he can do is take his computer apart with a hammer? Reminds me of a kid I grew up with——when he wanted to take something apart he always started with a hammer——but that’s the only tool he had so he finished with the hammer too. He was usually looking for ball bearings to play marbles with. Seems like the Newton Nutcase never had any marbles to start with? If he was a true geek and not just a gamer he would have known how to destroy memory /files/etc. More suspicions all around.

The dad of the CO shooter was set to testify in front of congress (within 2 weeks after the shooting), in regards to the Libor Scandel. Against Tim Taxcheat Geithner. The Sandy dad is also a player in Libor Scandel but not sure what capacity.

Also, study the make-up, Batman stuff and a skit from the most recent Olympics. Batman at the Olympics on about the same week as the CO shooting.
