Sen. Joe Lieberman I-Conn. this morning addressed the tragic shooting in Connecticut, pointing out that violent video games lead some people to become killers.
“Very often these young men have an almost hypnotic involvement in some form of violence in our entertainment culture – particularly violent video games,” Lieberman said, about people involved in mass shootings. “And then they obtain guns and become not just troubled young men but mass murderers.”
Liberman added that he heard “rumors” that Adam Lanza fell into this category.
Liberman reminded his colleagues that not everyone who played violent video games were killers, but noted that studies showed that young people involved in violent entertainment were “more aggressive.”
Thank God, not all of them become murderers,” Lieberman stated. “But some of them do and we have to ask why.”

Not every madrassa student is a radical muslim but millions of them, who are forced to memorize the Koran day in and day out, become radicals after hours and hours of exposure to violence.
Video games, like Islam, reflects and justifies destruction, physical harm to others and killing as a good outcome.
When exposed to this hours every day it’s no wonder we have a screwed up bunch of youngsters. Sad.

Why didn't they stop him?
As does 90 percent of the male population. I have friends whose husbands spend their free hours on this crap.

Then the woman had to be a strong person determined to live even though shooting herself in the head “several times” - it was either 3 or 4 head shots. I guess she just kept shooting herself in the brain over and over until she died. Too bad she can’t tell us how she managed all those shots to her head.
She was very wealthy and not working.
The video makers who have violent content should be required to put warning (like cig companies) on them that says “This is a sick video. Must be 28 yo or older to possess”

every shrink is playing the “operational definition” game.
no context. a button being pushed is defined as a violent act. no context for the story.
If a person is playing 1776 and they are the colonists, does this mean sociopath as the media mob would want you to believe?
Why this is a stupid arguments, it does confuse congress into inaction.
Lieberman is turning a molehill of facts into a mountain of Jeane Dixon supposition.
