How Boehner Can Stop Tax Hikes, Save His Speakership
IBD ^ | December 21,. 2012 | Editor

Budget: Plan Boehner — also known as Plan B — has failed in the House because the Republican speaker couldn't get the Republican members to follow him. So what should they do now? Wait until next year.

[snip] Not that a vote would have mattered: Harry Reid's do-nothing Senate — it hasn't passed a budget in more than three years — would not have even taken up the bill.

[snip] Let him send his budget to Congress in February, as required by law, and show his plans for escaping the cliff.

{snip}After all, won't Obama be responsible for the tax hikes everyone will ultimately be hit with? The Republicans have passed bills and offered compromise. The president, meanwhile, is headed to Hawaii for a three-week, $4 million Christmas vacation with his family in their usual, exclusive beachfront home.

Isn't Obamacare A VERY LARGE TAX HIKE? The Obamacare TAX HIKE will sink the free enterprise on Obama's ship...by continued spending...Government Waste is a very large part of the problem...cleaning it up would mean fewer government jobs and smaller departments....Obama hires something like 120 new government Union workers per day.......Congress stand strong NO NEW TAXES. The only people who want Boehner out are those who don't understand what is happening....

Boehner should lose his speakership for not demanding huge cuts in spending, like eliminating the Dept of Education, etc.

As long as it is not possible for a Democrat to become the speaker, then I am all for having a Speakerless Congress.

One that would allow each Congressman/woman to vote their constituents’ wishes, one that was not subjected to influence by power grabbing national political figures who only seek power and self advancement.

Let them bring all potential bills to a vote, or just the ones passed out by committee, I don’t care. I’m tired of appeasing pussies running the Republican conference in the House.

Everybody needs to sit down, relax, take a big breath and remember this: nobama’s goal is to drive the US into a turd world banana republic with him as dicktator for life.

nobamacare is a key element to fulfilling his dream.

The fiscal cliff fiasco is a key element to fulfilling his dream.

Most everything he does, most every EO he signs, all of this is designed to fulfill his dream.

Question is, what are we gonna do about it? He challenges us on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis. I don’t hear us making much of a response.

HA-HA, his big plan for stopping the tax increases is just letting them all go up, and Obama will get the blame for it.

God help us we are screwed!

And who will blame him? Certainly not the media, not the morons who get their news from the MSM or the 50 percent who pay no taxes anyway. When the SHTF the Republicans will get the blame and the rest of us will get the bill. I say shut off ALL government funding except for the military. Starve the bureaucratic monster.

Weeks ago I thought it was a mistake for Bohner to get on TV making all these statements about his working hard negotiating. He was just drawing attention to himself for someone to blame when it goes wrong. I thought a better approach would have been to stay off camera except to say that Obama won and it's his taxes and his economy, just keep telling them to talk to Obama.
Look at what a disaster the plan B trick turned out to be.

I know what he was trying to do, to convince America that he is trying hard to compromise. But he is just not as good at acting as O is, not even close.
