No Accountability For Americans Murdered In Benghazi
IBD EDITORIALS ^ | December 28, 2012

Accountability: As with Fast and Furious, the designated scapegoats for the deaths of Americans at the hands of administration bungling will merely be switching desks. Only the maker of that irrelevant video is in jail.

Reports of the resignation of four State Department officials after the Accountability Review Board's (ARB) review of State Department actions before during and after the terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, may have been greatly exaggerated.

Eric Boswell, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, has not resigned from the department, as a State Department spokeswoman indicated Dec. 19. Boswell is instead just "switching desks," according to a report in the New York Post.

Deputy Assistant Secretaries Charlene Lamb and Raymond Maxwell, and a third who has not been identified, were placed on administrative leave after the release of the report. However, according to the Post, they are expected to return.

They were found to have shown "performance inadequacies" but not "willful misconduct."

In other words, they were merely incompetent and didn't mean for Ambassador Chris Stephens and three other Americans to get murdered by Ansar al-Sharia, a terrorist group with al-Qaida links.

Last week, spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton "has accepted Eric Boswell's decision to resign as assistant secretary for diplomatic security, effective immediately."

It turns out Boswell gave up only his presidential appointment as assistant secretary, but not his job.

He has simply moved to another desk at the State Department and is still collecting his paycheck.

Sorry, but here WE are today, continuing to ‘preach to the choir’.

Since this happened Sept 11 and the Libs retained the pResident, bettered themselves in the Senate and House, apparently the 51%+- that ‘voted’ for them don’t really care about the Ambassador and the other fine Americans.

The heads were near the chopping block Nov 6 and no action was taken,

As stated, Romney didn’t use it, RNC didn’t use it so since the election went the way it did NO ONE REALLY CARES.

Present company excluded but WE are among the 49%+-.

Of course you will find the same old D’s and Libs who while pretending to be outraged over events like this, Fast and Furious, the murder of unborn children, the raping of the Constitution, our rights slowly being taken away and the shame of it is if the election were to be held tomorrow, the results would not only be the same, more than likely ‘we’ would end up losing the House.

We all have our own reasons for doing things but those that felt it better to sit home and chastise the ones that held their nose and voted for Romney are not much ‘better’ than those that voted for BO, they did just as much to help reelect them.

Just because a truck hits you in the crosswalk and kills you may make you ‘legally correct’, you are just as dead as if you were illegally crossing the street.

Nothing will ever come of these ‘investigations’. You could have video of Obama firing a rocket at the embassy and it still wouldn’t convict him. Congress is a cesspool of self serving power hungry blowhards. Couple that with a culpable liberal MSM and an uneducated naïve population and we are given the sad state of affairs that we are in.

Accountability from Obama and his administration? Accountability went out the window the day the nation allowed this illegal POTUS to take office.

The Obama regime engages in Hillary’s very successful method of “Strategic Cohesion”. All government employees simply must follow orders. They police themselves thoroughly and destroy any deviants. They all follow bad scripts as does the media . A rogue government capable of unimaginable evil.

Sadly, most Americans take pleasure in their uninformed ignorance/stupidity. The rest us just vent disbelief.

...because it leads right to ODUNGO

I agree, Benghazi was 100% Barky's show, and he hung our guys out to dry, deliberately. He let those bastards kill our guys. We had assets in the area who could have relieved them, and Obama deliberately reneged.

Something very, very scummy is stinking up that whole story, and I just don't know what it is -- but I know who is responsible.

Which appetizes me to know, too, how was it that Seal Team Six got killed so soon after the Abbottabad raid? If we look, will we find Obama hung them out to dry too, deliberately and with premeditation sent them to their deaths the way King David did his hard-pressed captain, Uriah the Hittite?

Did Obama twice conspire with Islamist extremists to murder bands of American servicemen and contractors because our guys had "done good"?

...”As always with liberals, no one is ever held responsible because they had good intentions, no matter how incompetent they are”...

But, God help the physician who happens not to heal 100% of the time. This is the result of being controlled and ruled by lawyers and left-wing judges..They decide who is held accountable and our government is filled with them..If I were God, no modern day lawyer would ever darken the doors of government because that is a place where common sense should prevail.

The American press doesn’t know how to do investigative work any more ... well, unless some democrat calls them with links, names to people to interview and the ‘correct’ slant to take.

Here’s a flash New York Times - you’re lack of ability is what’s killing newspapers.

Benghazi is a shame they’ll wear for years.
