If Every U.S. State Declared War Against the Others, Which Would Win?

These are the accounts of the Second American Civil War, also known as the Wars of Reunification and the American Warring States Period.

After the breakup, many wondered which states would come out in control of the power void created by the dissolution of the United States. There were many with little chance against several of the larger more powerful states. The states in possession of a large population, predisposition for military (i.e.) military bases, and a population open to the idea of warfare fared the best. In the long term, we would look to states with self-sufficiency and long term military capabilities.

Here are the states that held the greatest strategic value from day one. They have the ability to be self-sufficient, economic strength, military strength, the will to fight, and the population to support a powerful war machine.

California Texas New York

Others that have many of the qualities that gave them an advantage are also listed.

Washington Colorado Illinois Virginia Florida Georgia

For all intents and purposes, Alaska and Hawaii ended well enough since they were so far removed from the center of the country that they never really suffer greatly nor benefit from the shattering.

This is like the old “Ditka versus Godzilla” debate

You've got that right! This sort of silliness sounds like it came from a stupid lib website such as Slate. Oh, wait...it did come from Slate.

Now can we move on to a more important discussion, such as who was hotter, Mary Ann or Ginger?

I’d add Wyoming. Plenty of nukes and chances are Dick Cheney would be in an undisclosed secure location somewhere in the state to help launch ‘em ;-)

You could win through the imposition of Obamacare, which is patterned after Romneycare.

You’re not out of it by any means.

It would be overlooked.

I do believe TN tried something similar once before and it didn’t work out all that well.

Though the mountain boys were mostly on the other side then from the rest of the state.

California and Texas would define it the same way : Fedgov, get out of our business.

I don't see California as a leader, not with the current governor, nor with the percentage of illegal aliens and sympathizers. I think Governor Moonbeam would go running to the Fedgov for a bailout or rescue, and as soon as it happened, it would be back to business as usual.

I wouldn’t declare war on another state.... I’d just have Texas walk away. Real peaceable like..... Don’t f#@k with us and leave us alone.

Close the borders and just say, if you want to come in either have a job or a sponsor cause the state will provide NOTHING. For the free loaders in Texas.... one way ticket to New York or California where really smart and compassionate people live to provide cradle to grave care under the welfare plantation society they want.

Corporate tax rate of 0. eliminate property tax and divide all state expenditures by the population and divide into fuel tax, utility taxes and flat income tax paid by all citizens.

Every household must own a weapon to provide for the defense of the state and upon turning 18 all men must undergo 3 months of military training with one year served in active duty paid for 1 year of tuition and books at a state university, with a priority acceptance given to those who serve 4 years on active duty.

A tariff for all commercial traffic, cruise lines and airplanes that come across the mexican border to be paid by all who enter to offset medical and legal expenses incurred by illegal aliens.

Finally a currency that is backed by gold/silver that must be held physically by the state of Texas.

Don’t declare war.... just declare ... Independence.

AZ has one of the largest air forces in the world in mothballs, half of which is flyable in 24 hours, most of the rest air worthy in a week. We might struggle for ground troops but we WILL have air supremacy.

“CWII will not result in one geographical State against others.”

Agree.
More likely rural vs urban, and more like an asymmetrical guerrilla war of patriots vs central government. The best outcome in this scenario would be destabilization of Leftist government with a constitutionalist military strongman taking over and hopefully transitioning back to a constitutional republic as much as is possible. But, the temptation for reprisals against the Leftist tyrants would be very strong...but necessary, IMO.

“If Every U.S. State Declared War Against the Others, Which Would Win?”

The entire premises is ridiculous.

No state is going to “declare war” on any other state.

A more interesting question would be:
“If any of the fifty states (or a group of states) declared independence from the federal government, which would have the best chance to prevail?

California Texas New York?

Not even close.

Texas makes Santa Ana sob in defeat and demands free beer from the Dutch impeturity and gives that ridiculous island back to the natives.

We could do brackets. Each state has to take on a neighboring one. As each state wins a bracket, it gets to take over the losing state. The thirteen largest states would get a bye in the first round.

... a Constitutional Convention that has the power to totally abolish the federal government?

Or to constitutionally enshrine the socialist, nanny state that 51% of the idiot population voted for in the last election.

Yes...but we come from a long lineage of carpetbaggers, so we just wait for the winner to be declared, and swoop in to make a profit.

Actually we make some pretty good guns up here.

We might do better than you think. We are not all babies.
