Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz is moving forward to establish procedures for removing voters from registration rolls if they can't prove citizenship, with a public hearing scheduled for today that is expected to draw critics who want to stop the change.

“Schultz's proposed voter-suppression rules will unfairly target Latino immigrants, intimidate voters from exercising their rights and could result in voters' being purged from the rolls without cause,” said Ana Belen Mancebo, a member of the government watchdog group Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement.

Everytime the Democrats and liberals holler about Gun Control, Magazine limits, grandfathering, Tax Stamps for weapons, each Republican politician or official in this country should correspondingly implement a “draconian” rule designed to get illegal voters off the voting rolls. Tit for Tat.

Why should enforcing the law be barter for stomping on a primary constitutional right?

I understand what you’re saying and I agree with you. The amendment needs not discussion at all amongst rational people.

However, we don’t deal with rational people; we deal with people who have an agenda focused at utlimate, total control of our lives, and they just happen to have currently seized on gun control again.

My response to their blather and control quests is to confuse the issue. Tie them up in new laws, rules, regulations in state courts, take their minds off the “Newtown Prize” and to defend something they think they’ve already won. Meanwhile ALL representatives on the conservative side refusing to even discuss the merits or demerits of the Second Amendment.

Solution to this kind of stuff is to do the same required paperwork and instant background check required to buy a gun from an FFL everytime someone wants to vote.

After all, it’s not an infringement on owning a gun, how can it be an infringement on voting?

The left cannot stand against it unless they want to repeal the Brady law... first.

Good for the Iowa SoS.

Every illegal vote disenfranchises someone’s legal vote.

Not Everyone Has Right To Vote In U.S.

What some would consider common sense others argue against as racist. Considering all the evil that the left promotes and calls good I myself question why the left promotes breaking the law as it applies to illegal immigration with for example sanctuary cities etcetera?

Are the promoters of homosexual sex and abortion truly just misunderstood saints? Could the community organized group of illegal immigrants really be nothing more than a group in need of charity? Charity that the left by government imposition force others to provide them?

I myself feel that there is more to this leftist collective government benevolence than simply charity at the expense of others.

If there is one thing I have learned after closely watching President Obama during his four year community organizing campaign for reelection it is that the special interests he promotes and rewards are those that vote for him. President Obama is all politics all the time. All politics all the time you say? Not too difficult to accept when one considers that community organizing is politics -[it] is attaining power by fabricating and exploiting illegitimate divisions, creating and disparaging oppressors, and championing the mob rule of victims.

President Obama was a politician before he was ever elected to any office. Shocking? President Obama wielded political power before ever holding an elected position or occupying a political office. I would suggest that it necessarily follows that the office President Obama occupies is not one which he serves the public within but rather one which serves him and the special interests that put him in it and keep him in it.

In my opinion, it is quite evident that President Obama does not serve the country -he serves himself.

There is a reason that President Obama and those on the left do not like this citizen only voter initiative and it has nothing to do with racism.

The SoS here in the Gay State wants to give each non-citizen who votes a free ObamaPhone.

If Comrade Tom Harkin is NOT happy, I’ve happy. If Comrade and fake Vietnam veteran Tom Harkin would drop dead yesterday, I WOULD BE HAPPY.

Please, God, this is a new year. MAKE ME HAPPY!

PS: Dear God. I’ve already dropped dead once. Did my time. I’m back. Now even out the score, please.
