WASHINGTON - Colorado Congresswoman Diana DeGette is plunging into the gun control debate with new legislation to ban high-capacity magazines.
DeGette introduced the proposal Thursday. The Democratic Congresswoman's district includes the site of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School. It is also adjacent to last year's Aurora movie theater shooting site. In both of those attacks, the shooters' rifles were modified with high-capacity magazines. Those devices allow attackers to fire dozens of bullets without pausing to reload.

In all seriousness, until our elected officials start dealing with the mental issue of the mass shooters I will always assume the gun grabbers are just communist thugs.
Communists love to take guns away from free people. Communists love to oppress disarmed people. Our officials are following the same pattern. The only conclusion that I can see is that they are communists or communist sympathizers.

I have modified mine so that it not only has `high-capacity’ magazines but: headers, straight pipes, a glass-pipe muffler, a Hurst shifter and Muncie transmission.
I’m looking for a decal of that angry woodpecker with a cigar in his mouth to put on the stock.

I do agree. I don’t think you’ll catch all the mental cases but if you go through history of these shootings, these perps have been crying for help and or needed that help for years but never got any and we see the results. Either the powers that be want it that way to push their agenda or they are so dumb. The Newtown shooter should have received mental help and/or be committed years ago.

I don’t own any high capacity magazines for guns. I turned them all into a modern art sculpture. Forcing me to give up those is interfering with my freedom of expression through art.
I've seen guys do it at the shooting range in less than 2 seconds.
Perhaps Congresswoman DeGette's goal would be better served by preventing weapon access to mentally unstable people.
