WASHINGTON - Colorado Congresswoman Diana DeGette is plunging into the gun control debate with new legislation to ban high-capacity magazines.
DeGette introduced the proposal Thursday. The Democratic Congresswoman's district includes the site of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School. It is also adjacent to last year's Aurora movie theater shooting site. In both of those attacks, the shooters' rifles were modified with high-capacity magazines. Those devices allow attackers to fire dozens of bullets without pausing to reload.

She inherited Patsies seat and has never done anything of note. And she will be re-elected forever. This bill does not need to pass, she is just “doing something”.

It will drive the lurking goo-goos crazy, sasquatch, so I’ll specifically point out that many of us actually do name our carbines.
My favorite AK’s name was `Roscoevitch.’ Or just Roscoe. I still mourn his tragic drowning death in a boating accident.
R(ust)IP Roscoe Roscoevitch.

I dearly hope these morons actually outlaw high capacity clips. if they do encounter a moment of sobriety and actually phrase it as high capacity magazines, I want to be the first to market high density magazines.

The fire arms weren't modified with a high-capacity clip. A clip is attached in order to provide ammunition. You expect too much. The writer is a "journalist".
Thus, ignorant of any subject he or she might be asked to write about. Especially those nasty and scary guns.
I would also wager that the writer cannot distinguish between automatic and semi-automatic. And has no idea what an "assault weapon" really is.

It has always been about handguns. Assault rifles was just a decoy to try and get their anti-gun foot in the door.
Once they get a ban on AWs then they will use the same reasons to go after handguns.
John Kennedy killed with a 5 shot bolt action rifle.
Bobby Kennedy with a .22 Iver Johnson Cadet revolver.
George Wallace wounded with a 5 shot Charter Arms .38spl.
Gerald Ford attacked with a 7 shot 1911 semi auto.
Edmond OK post office with two National Guard 7 shot 1911 pistols.
Ronald Reagan and Jim Brady with an RG-14 .22 revolver.
What do they all have in common? NONE over 7 rounds, yet after each one came a cry of panic to ban them.

Don’t be so soft on them. These people kill millions of babies every year. They are demons from hell. They are not the same species as us.
