.... Well I dunno ...... I actually thought that this past Federal Election was the start of the great revolution ... the return to a Constitutionally run government. What did we get after the great cry of FREEDOM was ringing from the voices of all who saw the threat that was facing this nation? ...... We saw too many of those mighty warriors staying at home .... and while they stayed in the comfort of their homes...... the nation fell to the socialists.... the same threat that we have sworn to fight since the birth of this nation.
... In short .... I guess you could say that ..... when they come for our guns ..... HOLY CRAP!!!! We are suddenly mighty warriors for freedom!!!! But when they came for our country ...... too many of us yawned and left the task up to the "Other Guy." And I think we all know who that "Other Guy" is ...... It's anybody else but you.
.... So ... I am sure Pat Buchanan meant well and I admire his exuberance by making that statement. But .... you will have to excuse me if I don't believe that there are enough of us left with a belly for an actual revolution.
.... Yes ... there just may be a lot of noise that is comprised of hot air .... but when the actual fight came ..... I would bet that .... too many would just stay home .... and ... yup ...... leave it up to the "Other Guy" to do all of the dirty work.

I’m a bit younger, but still well past the point where the end became a reality. The only question left is how to go out, or, as was well said in the LOTR: “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

I think your missing the big picture. The debate is at an end. It ended long, long ago. Only those who would seek to disarm you to effect control of you press for greater authority to so. They are usurping authority they have no right to assume regardless of their number. They may pass any law they wish. They will necessarily have to employ force to enforce their edicts. To do so they will violate natural law. Just say, “No!” and mean it. Violent resistance should be presented upon the first and every following instance of enforcement. If it is not we all may as well step aboard the Red Car. (See A. Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago for further edification.) I am not their chattal. My response will be “No!” You speak for yourself based upon your convictions. But bear this in mind. “Every man has handy a dozen glib little reasons why he is right not to sacrifice himself.” A. Your strawman comment about "hordes of military...going door-to-door" aside, does outlawing some guns and some clips come under the heading of "regulation" in your book or did that slip your mind?
Why don’t they go to the hood and take away the stolen guns from the brothers and all of the gangs. They come after, the law abiding citizen, there will be a revolution, no doubt. Go out in the poor areas and listen to the home folks and the middle class. Everyone, that I talk to, says hell no to more gun control. I think truly the wacko style dems (who do not like the American traditional set up; our constitution), are hoping to make a group of us law abiding citizens snap. Hold on and be cool out there. ( The libs are making certain Americans literally distrusting them with their dictatorial intentions), so I understand there’s a distrust and it’s normal to have it.
